Ryo is born on the island of Zou well the word island is a stretch it's a massive elephant
We cut to a three year old Ryo crying
Holding his hand while lying in bed we see a fox mink named Kitsune Ember
Ember: I'm sorry my little fox but I can't stay with you it seems this illness might just take me after all
Ryo: no please don't go I can't live without you not after dad!
Ember: You'll be ok, believe me your dad would've said the same thing Now I leave you knowing that one day you'll grow to be the strongest of them all and I am happy knowing that I'm you're drive to do just that so dry those tears and let the fire in your eyes burn
That's when she passes him Crimson red scarf
Ember wipes the tears out of her sons eyes and passes
Ryo can't believe what just happened
Electricity seems to crackle through his eyes
Ryo: Ok mum I'll do it for you and dad and No-one is going to stand in my way!
Ryo grabs the scarf and ties it around his waist

They stay like that for a while
Ryo's eyes are still full of sadness no tears though
Hirito: Hey why don't we go away for a little while we've got the card we can always find our way back
Ryo doesn't say anything he just nods
A few hours later
Ryo and his uncle are on a boat which Hirito and a few helpful minks built
Ryo had to say goodbye to a lot of good friends such as a friendly young jaguar mink
And they set sail
But what happens on this journey is a story for another time
But later we see an eight year old Ryo sleeping on a boat and it's docked at a very special village
