Third Times A Charm (Draco Malfoy x Reader)

Date With Diggory

You and Draco are studying in the library for a Potions quiz. You figure now would be a good time to tell him about your date with Cedric but something is stopping you. What if he gets mad? What if you hurt his feelings? Will he want to stop being friends with you?- your thoughts pause.

Why would any of these things happen it's Draco, he's your best friend. He's been there for all of your relationships, crushes, and everything in between so why would he suddenly get mad over things like that. Maybe because he likes you, your brain suddenly says. You don't know where that came from, Draco has never thought of you in that way before...but he has been acting strange. No, Draco is always strange it's just a coincidence...or maybe you want him to like you? No, bad thought, go back to studying you tell you brain

"What are you thinking about?" Draco asks snapping you out of your thoughts

"I'm thinking this is boring as shit" you say half lying, your work is very boring

Draco taps you on the head a few times as if he's gently knocking on a door "Wake up in there, the sooner we get done the sooner we can leave"

You start laughing and Draco joins in. You both go back to studying but not soon after you get distracted and start singing 'Sign of the Times' by Harry Styles quietly to yourself (he is a wizard you know)

"Welcome to the final show" you sing quietly

"Hope your wearing your best clothes" Draco adds not looking up from his book

You turn your head slightly to look at him and you smile

"Cant bribe the door on your way to the sky" you look at him waiting for his answer and you see him smile

"You look pretty good down here" he sings turning to look at you

"But you ain't really good" your smile widens as you start to sing in unison

"We've never learned we've been here before" you both sing turning to fully face each other "Why are we always stuck and running from the bullets, the bullets" you repeat that line together as you dramatically put your hand over your heart as if you've been shot

Draco taps your leg as if he's playing the drums to the interlude

Draco places his hand on your face as the you both start to sing the chorus

"Just stop your crying, it's a sign of the times" Draco let's his hand slip off of your face and you take his hand in yours as it falls "We gotta get away from here, we gotta get away from here"

You both start laughing as you continue "Just stop your crying it'll be alright, they told me that the end is near, we gotta get away from here"

You both burst out laughing at how ridiculous what you're doing is.

"Quiet you two this is a library not a concert" Madame Pince says as she walks by caring a stack of books she needs to restock

You and Draco giggle silently to yourselves until you're interrupted

"Next time you want to sound like a dying cat go somewhere else, some people are actually trying to better themselves in here" Granger says walking past your table

"Ridiculous" Ron says under his breath glaring at Draco as he passes by not daring to glance at you

What you didn't know is that he had been staring at you the whole time. Jealousy seeped out of him like the plague. He couldn't stand seeing you act so happy with Draco. Even though you two weren't dating he could feel that there was something between you two and he hated it, he always did even when you two were together.
