miles whispered on the phone.

miles was looking directly at you
and of course you knew he was looking
at you but you pretended to doodle on
your notes as he approached you.

miles didn't say anything at first
though he pushed a chair in front
of your desk and you glanced up at him.

"im sorry" miles said at first, trying to get you
to look at him as you averted your eyes down to your
notes where you continue to draw small stuff inside.

"for what?" you asked pretending not to know
what he was literally apologizing for.

miles said before looking behind you
to see makayla putting her thumbs up.

"mhm, yeah"
you said pretending not to care.

"well, okay"
miles just nodded before standing up
makayla looking at him confused.

miles said before exiting the class
with makayla following behind him
and grabbing his bag from behind.

"nigga that was it? 'well okay?'"
makayla asked and miles sighed.

"she ain't even acknowledge me, what should i tell her?"
miles shrugged as he continued to walking when makayla let go of his bag.

makayla mumbled before walking to the other side.
