I open my eyes to find myself surrounded by a warm golden light.

I don't know what I am doing here. I don't know much of anything really, the only thing clear is the light that surrounds me.

I blink, feeling something pull slightly at my chest and I glance down, seeing a thin trail of light slowly coming out of my chest over my left breast.

There is something different about this light. It seems purer than the one that surrounds me. I watch it numbly as it continues to make its way out, probably going to continue until there is nothing left. I feel as if I should be fighting back, that I shouldn't be letting this happen to me, but I don't know why since I can't seem to remember anything. I also feel as if it should hurt, the pull on my chest, but that's all it is, a slight pull, nothing more.

Taking a deep breath I look up and stare back into the golden light, watching how the pure white one molds into it perfectly. I close my eyes, my body still numb and as if that is all I have left to feel.

I take another breath and exhale, the warm light like a mother hugging her child for the first time; all love and warmth. I feel like I'm smiling, but I can't tell if I am actually doing so.

My body begins to feel light for some reason, the slight pull on my chest loosening. I take another breath, and with this exhale, I say my last—

Oh Ari, it isn't you're time yet. No no. I still need you.

That voice, I recognize it, and the chills it sends down my spine. He laughs a malicious, echoing cackle that makes every hair stand on end.

You will come with me, my pet.

Something cold grips my ankle, burning my skin in its intensity.

The voice laughs as I am dragged into the darkness.
