Delja is a young woman, now 1022 years old, who merged with the Endless Sea in order to save the newfound World from the Great Serpent Wojira, about 1000 years ago. She doesn't remember anything from her previous life, as merging with the Sea has consequence, that is not remembering anything apart from the Ocean.
Delja lives peacefully in the Endless Sea, when her "mother", as she call her, tells her that she will go in the Surface to find out who she was before. The Young Woman doesn't really know what to think about it, she loves her life in the Ocean, but knowing the truth about her past won't hurt, right? This is, atleast, what Delja thought.
