you awake to the rain tapping on the windows as water dripped of the trees, you blink away your tire and rustle your beds covers as you stand up, you stretch your arms and hear the crack of your arms.
"hey y/n, you up?" says a familiar voice,
you turn around to see sam, your roomate who moved in 3 weeks ago, his apartment was being knocked down so him and his other roomate had to move, lucky for you he's like a best friend you never had, and hes hot, but too your surprise he was fully dressed like he was going somewhere.
"what are you and your yellow hair doing all dressed up at- wait what time is it?" you said.
"almost 12, and my hair isnt yellow its just blonde- whatever, anyway im going out for lunch with colby" he responded
"wait- whos colby again-" you said confused
"My best friend?-"
"OH so your replacing me?" you joked
"we have been friends since we were freshmans?-"
"im so offended im being replaced-" you said dramatically
"Well too bad because me and him were meeting up to see if he could move in with us since our apartment was knocked down" sam said atlast
"Im gonna cr- wait what-" you said, confused.
"well- uh, yeah, it was a late move in since there was alot to do and organise-" he replied
"and you never told me this earlier?" i said
"you were busy elephant snoring while we planned this yesterday, sooo-"
"whatever as long as hes cool with me" you said
"you wanna meet him?" he asked
"sure, lemme get dressed, cant go looking like a hobo"
"but you look like that everyday so unless your gonna get plastic surgery-" he laughed
"oh shut up you little-" you said, but interrupted by a knock on your apartment door
"uh whos that-" you said
"did i mention he was gonna pick me up.." he said awkwardly
before you could reach sams throat to strangle him, you heard a muffled shout at the door.
"if your not gonna let me in ill go move in with kris-"
"omg let go of me to go open the door" sam gasped
"whatever" you said, letting go, as soon as sam walked to the door you shut your door to finally change out of your hobo pyjamas.
"finally i nearly died from boredom" you heard through the door, a deep man voice, your hair stood up, his voice was calming but surprised you, it was like a song you could listen to and repeat for hours
"not my fault, y/n had me in a chokehold because i didnt tell her you were coming over-" sams voice said distantly.
"y/n? is she your roomate?" colby responded.
"yeah, shes really nice, and shes funny, kinda reminds me of you-"
"oh so your replacing me?"
you began laughing at this petty fight, just a repeat of the one from earlier.
"oh not again-" you heard sam mutter
"how dare you-" colby said dramatically
"why do i have to go through this again- whats next" you heard sam say
"A paper shredder if you both dont shut up" as you shouted, walking through the doorway to the hall where sam and colby were, your eyes lingered over to sam, and then colby, he was nothing like you expected, you assumed he would look like every boy you saw in kansas, decent looking, addicted to NFL football, or sunflowers, but he looked so different, his face looked to be sculpted by an angel, he was biblically beautiful with sleek black hair, he had tattoos that ran up his muscly arms, by his chest was a cross that balanced on his angelic carved body, he was heavenly like, staring into his thunder blue eyes was like looking at a clear sky, you felt your knees buckle and shake in his presence but you finally came back to reality as you began hearing colby laugh, you looked up to see sam was grinning in amusement
"You always have a bone to pick with me" He laughed
"You must be y/n," said colby, grinning, his smile lit up a room, it brought you a sensation of joy to see him happy. "Im colby" he said
"I know that now, precisely the reason that we would be going to sams funeral instead of going to lunch." you said, you and colby laughed as sam grinned "Just bullying me all the time-" you heard him say before laughing.
"Well, nice to meet you y/n" he said, outstretching his hand, you shook it and smiled, ignoring your weak knees that shook as he stared you up and down, as sam had a phone call you heard his deep voice echoe in your ear in a whisper, "how come sam didnt mention your beautiful?"
you began to blush, "and he didnt tell, me you look like you were carved personally by god" you thought, as your knees buckled more, weakening in his smirk and seductive stare, but before you could respond sam interrupted
"Kris and Celina are visiting us, they are gonna join us for lunch if they can make it"
"Well where we going for lunch anyway?" you asked sam
"the cafe down the street, the one with the chocolate croissants you like" sam said
"yesss, i love them" you said
"meh i prefer the pankcakes" colby responded
"you have horrible taste" you said, disgusted, but everyone whos perfect has imperfections...
"have you ever tried them?" he said, grinning at my annoyance
"a pancake?, duh, of course" you replied
"But they werent the ones from the cafe" sam said, opening the apartment door
"...."
"exactly" sam said, grinning as he walked out the door
you go over to push him down the stairs but colby grabs you and holds you back, you feel his torso touch you through his shirt, you could feel his muscles grab your back
"run" colbys deep voice whispered to sam as you attempt to break free, sam quickly sprints down the stairs
"Let. me. the. fuck. go." you said dangerously
"shut up you'll disturb up the whole of California" colby said, smiling as you rolled your eyes
"whatever" you said, breaking free of his grip, instantly heading for the stairs, making it noticeable you purposely elbowed him on the way down
"wow, rude" he laughed, he grabbed ur arm once more
"get offf im starvingggg"
"not until u say you wont attempt to murder me or sam for atleast 5 minutes"
"whatever" you said again, twisting your arm out of his grasp.
you could tell he was smiling from behind you, you couldnt help but smile too, his smile was contagious, like an illness, but it was something you want to catch.
