It has been a few days since Bruce said I can stop bed rest. I am currently walking down the hall with Bruce going through all the paper work Tony laid on us. Apparently Fury is cracking down left and right about these reports they need to be reviewed and sadly since Tony is busy with other matters me and Bruce have drawn the short straw.
I can't say I don't mind because it keeps my mind busy so I can't focus on the pain. My ribs are still in rough shape and they will be for a while until they properly heal.
I turn the corner to see Nat and Wanda they are both looking at me with big ass smiles.
I look at Bruce he just shrugs because he's just as clueless as me.
"Good morning Spencer." Nat says
"Umm Good Morning?' I say
"When you have a minute I would like to talk to you meet me in the lobby at lunch okay?" She says
"Okay." I say and me and Bruce keep walking
"You have any idea what that was about?" I ask
"Not in the slightest." He says
I turn the corner only to run right into something well someone causing all the papers in my arms to go flying and I almost fell if it wasn't for someone grabbing me.
"Sorry Doll." I hear a familiar voice
I look up to see James.
"No I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention." I say as me James and Bruce pick up all the papers
"Busy day?" He asks
Me and Bruce both nod.
He hands me the papers he collected.
"Thank you." I say sort of in a daze
"No problem doll." He says as he smiles I only now notice how he's got dimples when he smiles and how icy blue his eyes are like they can see right into my soul.
"I'll see you later right?" He asked
"Uh Yeah." I say
He gives me a kiss on the cheek which makes my face turn red I can feel it.
"See you then." He says and walks off
"So you and him seem to be umm." Bruce says trying to find the right words. As we continue to make our way to the lab.
"Yeah. It's all a little different for me because of the obvious." I say
"It's understandable." He says as we set the papers down on the lab table
"What matters is how he treats you. I know Barnes would never hurt you like you're ex you're in good hands so to speak." Bruce says
"Thank you." I say with a sheepish smile
We both sit down and start going through the pile of papers one by one. We barley dented the paperwork by the time lunch rolls around.
"Lets take a break. Then pick up again after lunch sound good?' Bruce says
I nodded
I stand up and walk to the lobby to see Nat waiting for me.
"What can I help you with Nat?" I say with a small smile
"Well tonight you are coming with me and Wanda, We're going to have a girls night out." Nat says
I stare at her a little confused.
"And don't even think about getting out of it. It's about time you spend some time with us girls." She says with a smile
I smile back.
"I guess there is no use in arguing with you then." I say with a small smile
