Different but the Same

This is a part of our poetry unit, again. We had to fold in then pass it around and write a verse each time and I was impressed at how well "together" mine turned out. (: This is all for my author's note in this one. <3

The water was still in the vacant valley.

The orange sun set over the dark blue.

The eyes spy cold and dark. What?

I do think I still might see.

If only emotions had color.

You approach me.

Dark and cold, your touch like ice.

Somehow, I’m still afraid, though in a whirlwind of happiness.

I still don’t know where it comes from.

It might be yellow.

It might be blue.

Self-doubt slows the process.

It’s what you said once;

I still believe you.

Time flies by and you don’t even think about how quickly it goes.

It continues, it does not stop.

It never stops.

It doesn’t care about who it leaves behind.

I turned, despised at what I saw;

The truth was just too hurtful.

It wasn't you.

It was honestly

Me.
