Chapter 11: Threat

As we go out of the room, the wooden rails piqued my interest so I approach it, putting my hands on it-

[ This place is huge.. ]

I look below me and see a vast wooden space that resembles a dining hall. It has wooden tables with four wooden chairs each, covering almost the entire space visible from above. As I look down, I also realize that I am on the fourth floor of this wooden building, I look up and see two more floors above with each floor having rooms similar to where I was once in.

Each floor has four sides, with the north and south sides having a staircase in their center. We begin approaching the south side since that's the closest staircase from our room, but each time we walk, I can't help but have my attention drift by a sight given to me.

[ Luciel, this place is huge, but how come I only see a few people? ]

[ Well, Chiaro, this is the hospital of the Zacrynem district. We only have one hospital in this district, so my father really made it spacious enough for everyone and ensured it would never get filled. ]

[ Your father? ]

[ Yes, my father made this. He's also the one who asked me to bring you to him as soon as you wake up ]

My hand slides on the wooden railings

[ Your father did all of this alone? ]

Before she even gets to finish her sentence, Leto's hand covers Luciel's mouth

Leto took her hand from Luciel's mouth, then Leto suddenly let out a sigh

As soon as we reach the first floor, the view of what I see as the dining hall becomes more beautiful than what it looks like from above. We began walking to the center since there's a pathway, it's a pathway leading to all four directions of the dining hall. I can't help but move my head around and observe that the rooms have wider doors, it seems like they're used for something else.

Leto, who's leading the way, stops and goes to the nearest table. The three of us then sat on the chair designated on the table and-

[ Luciel go to the counter and ask for what they have right now. ]

[ Okay, Sister Leto ]

Luciel stands up and goes to the west side

[ So, foreigner, while Luciel is away, keep me company ]

[ I have a name- ]

[ Where did you come from? ]

[ I don't know.. ]

Leto lets go of me and sits back on the chair. She then looks at me with threatening eyes

I can feel the air of her voice touching my neck making me feel somewhat suffocated

She then stands up slightly and moves her head towards me and touches my chin, I close my eyes as she say-

Those words send a chill throughout my entire body

I then open my eyes and look her right in the eye

We stared at each other for a few minutes, until-

I look at Luciel and say

Luciel rushes towards our table and puts the soup down, she then slaps my face

And began running towards the exit on the east side

[ You idiot! ]

She said as she runs away

[ What just happened to her? ]

[ Well, foreigner, our faces are way too close to each other, she probably thought- ]

[ Oh.. ] I notice the soup at the table and start taking a bite. Leto sighs and lets go of my chin and follows Luciel

[ As soon as you're done eating, meet us at the exit, make sure to finish that sou- Ehhh? ]

Leto then looked at me with a weird expression

[ Thank you for the meal ]

[ That- I didn't even get to see you shove one spoon into your mouth ]

She chuckles

[ But oh well, let's meet the Uncrowned King now, but for some political reason, we now call him Mayor ]
