Kabukimono was working hard in the Mikage furnace, he was trying his best to focus on the task at hand. His hands were moving almost automatically as he went through the motions of smithing. As usual, his mind was elsewhere, it had been a while since he had last talked to Y/N and he wanted to see them again.
He stopped in his tracks suddenly, it was as if his body was trying to tell him to go, to go look for Y/N. He placed a hand on his chest, perhaps the feeling he felt was longing.
He was unsure of what to do, his body urged him to go find Y/N and yet he wasn't sure if he should leave his work unfinished. He was debating between two choices and he was growing more conflicted by the second.
Katsuragi who was working on something, noticed his friend's odd behavior, he then asked him if he's fine. The young puppet was in a slight daze, he looked at Katsuragi and suddenly snapped out of it. "Oh, I-I'm fine. Nothing to worry about. I'll just finish my work and-"
The words died on his lips. His mind suddenly became blank. He was supposed to finish his work but...he couldn't think of anything else but Y/N." Katsuragi... may I be excused from crafting for a little while?" He said this in a hushed, quiet voice. Katsuragi nods and let's his friend leave
He quickly made his way towards the exit. As soon as he could see the sunlight outside, he suddenly had a look of determination. He was going to find Y/N, and he was going to talk to them again. He couldn't help but feel excited and nervous at the same time. His footsteps were light and he could feel his heart beating faster as he neared the town.
Y/N was talking to a few townsfolk. Kabukimono noticed Y/N across the town square. He couldn't help but marvel at how beautiful the scene looked, the sunlight was hitting the trees and the water in the nearby river and it all felt so magical.
His eyes settled on Y/N's face and he almost stopped in his tracks. Those eyes were absolutely breathtaking, his face felt hot as he walked in Y/N's direction. He was still nervous and his heart was practically pounding against his chest. With each step he took he had the slight fear that he would trip over his own robes again.
Kabukimono saw Y/N's smile and it made him feel slightly dizzy. He never seen such a lovely smile before, the young puppet felt his face flush a bright red. He was still walking over to Y/N, each step felt harder than the last as his heart continued to beat. He really wished his heart could calm down right now.
They turn their gaze from the townsfolk and notices Kabukimono. "Kabukimono? What brings you here?" They smiles at him. Kabukimono stopped abruptly the moment that Y/N's eyes settled on him. The air grew thicker and it felt harder to breath. The young puppet was unsure of what to say, he stared at Y/N with his mouth slightly open.
He couldn't even think of a good excuse. His heartbeat was becoming deafening, he felt like his chest was going to burst. He wanted to say something but all he could manage was a slightly stilted wave and a nod. They chuckles and waves back. He finally managed to catch his breath and walked towards Y/N, a nervous smile on his face. He still couldn't believe how pretty they were , their gentle smile and soft voice sent a shiver down his spine.
"I...I-I wanted to see you again." He was still unsure of how to talk to Y/N. He didn't want to come across as odd or strange. He really liked them but he was afraid that if he showed it to them, they would never see him the same way ever again. "Really? That's nice, I was talking with the townsfolks about your whereabouts too, hehe." They replied.
"You...you were?" He exclaimed. Kabukimono's eyebrows went up and he seemed genuinely curious about where Y/N might have been looking for him. There was a warm feeling of satisfaction in his chest, he was happy to hear that they were looking for him. This must mean that Y/N was still willing to talk to him! He had a wide grin on his face now and his cheeks had a slight pink tint due to the sheer amount of emotions he was feeling right now.
"You wanna wander Tatasuruna with me?" They say with a warm undertone. He nodded his head eagerly, he was quite fond of walking in Tatasuruna. He liked the sights, the food and the atmosphere was always peaceful. It was an ideal place to relax or have deep conversations, like the one he was having with Y/N right now. He liked them, he had a feeling that Y/N liked speaking to him too.
