I WOKE UP AS A CANNON FODDLER

PROLOGUE

*Tap *Tap *Tap *Tap

The sound of the keyboard's typing are the only thing would be heard inside the building of the Marketing Department. I glance at my wristwatch. It's already 4:20. I save my files and sent it to the manager's email.

Yes all done!!

I still have 40 minutes to rest here.

Napaayos ako sa aking anti-radiation eyeglass saka nag unat sa aking namamanhid kong braso. Sumandal ako sa upuan at pumikit.

After a while. Napamulat ako sa aking mata ng marinig ko ang boses.

"Lira, are you done?"

Napalingon ako kay Rizza, my friend. Nasa katabing cubicle ito nag aayos na sa kanyang mesa.

Napatango ako.

Ini-off ko na ang pc.

"I guess it should be fine if I pass my files tomorrow. Right? " She said and then winked at me.

"I'm sure the boss won't mind," I laughed.

I guess so. Since she's dating our boss, he's been considerate on her part. However he's strict to us see while other employees often scolded because of late submission of the team projects and etc.

Ang unfair 'no!

Inaayos ko na rin ang gamit ko at
Napansin ko na nagsialisan na rin yung ibang mga ka trabaho namin after they bid their goodbyes.

Tumayo na ako.

"Let's go," I said.

Habang naglalakad kami palabas ng building naabutan namin nag away ang magjowa na katrabaho.

"Who is this? May babae ka na naman? Am I not enough for you?" I heard the girl shouted.

Napabulong tuloy si Rizza sa'kin.

"Is that Yska? Yung girl na sumugod sa HR Department nung nakaraan linggo. You'd heard that rumor right?"

Napatango naman ako.

Napailing nalang ako sabay akay sa kanya palabas habang ang chismosa ko na kaibigan patuloy pa rin sa pagsasalita.

"Someone in other departments saw her boyfriend making out in the 3rd floor building blah~~  Tas yung nakakita ay kilala yung circle of friends nung gf tas chinismis ata dun nag umpisa blah~~ Pinatawag tuloy sila ni boss. blah~~"

Daldal ng kaibigan ko, no?

Ganyan talaga yan. Madaldal siya at number 1 marites sa buong company. Sa kanya ko nalalaman mga trend na issues or chismis sa loob ng company.

We're friends since high school days. We go to same college with same course, and kasama ko pa siya sa trabaho. She's cheerful and beautiful that's why everyone likes her.

Anyways nandito na kami sa parking lot.
I clicked the remote and tumunog ang kotse ko. Binuksan ko na ang pintuan nito at sinenyasan si Rizza na pumasok na.

Inaayos ko na ang seatbelt ko saka nag drive, pansin ko naman ang katabi ko na may kausap sa cellphone. I'm sure its her boyfriend.

Hindi ko nalang pinansin at patuloy na nagmaneho. By the way we're also roommates. That's why we always hang around each other.

"Jake called me, he booked a reservation in a nearby restaurant. We have a dinner date later. So, don't forget to eat your dinner too, Lira." Rizza said as she walked in her room.

I shrugged. I put my stuff in the living room and then took out my cellphone in my bag.

"Yeah, don't worry about me. Just enjoy your date," I shouted back so that she can heard me in her room.

I sat on the couch while picking up the novel na nabili ko noong nakaraan araw. Sobrang sikat nitong novel na 'to, ni recommend ito ng officemate ko na pareho rin mahilig magbasa ng mga story. Nagustuhan ko naman 'to nang simulan ko ng basahin kahapon, I got engrossed of reading it. I didn't mind on skipping dinner just to read it. The story is really the best out of everything I read so far no wonder best selling 'to nationwide.

Anyways I got up habang bitbit ang novel and go to my room. After changing my clothes, I've to prepare my dinner. I'd just cooked pork stew and rice.

Rizza's already left a minute ago, wearing a sexy white backless dress.

"Don't wait for me later. I'll slept at Jake condo. Okay? And don't you dare stay up all night reading again. Nako sinasabi ko sayo Lira!!" said Rizza with a worried tone while wore her 4 inches white high widge heels before she left the condo.

Well, she knows my hobby. That's why she always scold me whenever she caught my room still lights on at midnight, she'd knocks at my door and reminded me again to stop reading and I should sleep.

I smile upon remembering those scene. She's always worried about me. I'm really greatful to have her as my bestfriend and treated me like her blood sister.

After done eating I wash my dishes and then do my evening daily life routine here in our condo alone.

After resting I open our 32 inches flat smart TV just to watch an uninteresting tv show. I change channel after channel just to find a boring dramas. What the f**k? Did we just waste our money just to subscribe 2k monthly in newflix and watch this boring series. Seriously?

*Ding

My phone beep. I quickly open it and I wonder what could be it.

From Father:

-Come home tomorrow. Your mom's miss you

---

I frown. Nag iinarte na naman siguro si mom sa bahay?

I type my reply.

-Okay.

---

Hays! Ano na naman kayang problema sa bahay.

My stomach growl.

I got up and naglakad patungo sa ref. Habang hinayaan ko nalang nakabukas ang tv na corny ang palabas.

Binuksan ko ang ref saka unang kinuha ang malamig na can of soda saka tinunga.

Woah sobrang refreshing!

Tiningnan ko ang kabuoan ng ref ng mahanap ko na ang pakay napangiti akong kumuha ng ibat ibang klase na junkfood.

Pagkaraan padaosdos akong napaupo sa sofa saka nagsimulang kumain.

Ah this is life!

I happily eat the Fishda crackers while drinking soda. Ang saya ng buhay kung ganito nalang palagi walang trabaho puro kain lang tas titihaya ka lang sa tabi tabi walang pake sa mga nangyayare sa paligid.

I got up and off the TV.

It's already 11:38 in the evening and I'm still up reading the novel.

Rizza isn't here, she texted me a while ago na sa sunday na siya makakauwi kasi mag out of town sila sa province ni Jake which is the R Province. It's whole weekend vacation. How exciting diba?

Biniro ko nga na sana sinama ako para makita din ang ng magandang views away from city. You know city is a over populated all we see are the vast of building, factories, cars, and etc.. Walang refreshing sa mata. Nakakastress kayang tingnan yung mga tao sa daan nagsisiksikan compare sa province na puro green na makikita mo. It even has a wide variety tourist attraction and wild life. How I wish I could go there.

Ha!

My sense come back at the story and continue reading.

I got immerse in reading all the whole book and I didn't notice the time. It's almost past 2 AM. No wonder my eyes is a bit hazy. I guess I should sleep.

I put the book beside me and lie down in my comfy bed.

I don't know what really happened next but my mind was succumb by darkness, my vision become blurry and then I blackout...
