Eren had his thoughts going 'round and 'round he quickly shook his head telling himself " it was just a one-time thing! who gives a shit if he is my first kiss.. it doesn't matter now as long as no one finds out!" Armin called him out with Mikasa by his side; " Eren what took you so long! " Armin said " Oh! about that, Heichou needed assistance so I had to attend to his call. He is our captain after all!" Eren replied back, Mikasa pulled Eren by his sleeve and said " we. Don't want to be late for the gathering, stop fooling around and let's go..." both Eren and Armin felt a chill down their spine when they heard Mikasa uttered those words out but knowing her for this long they still fear her. as the trio approached the other troops Eren and Levi met eye to eye. Eren was flustered his face was flushed; Armin noticed this which persuaded him to ask " Eren, seriously what's up? you don't seem like your usual self today. Did something happen last night?" Eren replied " wha-what me?! not my usual self?! Ha!, that's a good one Armin! and no, nothing special happened last night... Just leave me be for a while" although the thought of Levi kept bothering Eren , upon the gathering the lecture finally ended. At least it kept Eren's mind distracted from thinking about his heichou " Eren." "Eren." "Eren!" Mikasa called him out and said " are you okay? you've been zoning out..." He then said " Ah! Sorry. What? " Mikasa sighed " What happened? just tell me." She said
" N-Nothing Happened! Alright?! God why do you have to be so nosy?!" Eren said.
Mikasa replied with " I just care about you! you can always be such a brat! you're such a burden sometimes..." the commotion they caused nearly caught other people's attention luckily it didn't although it was the first time Eren heard those words from Mikasa, Armin was shocked as well but decided not to react . " That's it I'm going back to my room. After all I'm just a burden, Right?" Eren said he then walked away in tears, Armin turned to Mikasa and together they questioned Eren's unusual attitude
once he reached his room he felt trapped,lost, and afraid. His tears were flowing down like an endless river awaiting for it's end just like his world " I really am an idiot."He told himself
" yes, you are" Eren was shocked to hear a response as he turned it was Levi, Eren asked " H-Heichou! Wh-what are you doing here?! Gah! I- Um I can explain " He rapidly wiped his tears away and stood up " clearly there is nothing wrong may I suggest for you to leave immediately " Eren said .
Although Levi decided to stay " Eren.. You're lonely aren't you?" Levi said
Eren nodded. Once again their eyes met, Levi held Eren's hands and gave him a kiss once again " Heichou.. " Eren said
Levi moved two steps back and faced Eren
and said " if the darkness of your world tries to consume you, I'm here to take you away from it." Eren's view towards Levi changed completely, Although Levi had to leave but just as soon as he reached for the door
Eren calls him out and said " your wings... " Levi was confused by what Eren said. Eren continued " Your wings, lifted me from everything... you released me from the clutches of the past, I was lost until you found me." Eren clutches his chest when Levi then reaches for his hand and said
" Thats something you shouldn't thank me for . I am nothing but a flightless bird looking at the never ending sky that we all call. Reality"
Eren was left speechless after he heard those words. Levi soon left his room
leaving Eren alone, smiling
He then said " He sure does know a lot... I better apologize to Armin and Mikasa too, without realizing it. Life is difficult for all of us..."
