Chapter 14

Taehyung quietly takes the dishes to the sink and proceeds to do them right after.

He walks back into the living with a stool, on being done with washing the crocks they used and sat in front of him.
Jungkook who was aimlessly scrolling through his phone, put it aside, sat decent, ducked his head down, clasping his paws together on his lap, as if the most innocent being ever.

Taehyung had to mentally slap himself and shake his head to man up and not melt at the sight right away.
"Since when are you having the nightmares?" Tae rasps out coldly. "Since the other day when I- I- I announced about my pregnancy." A pout could be heard very clearly in his voice. Taehyung's eyes soften at the remembrance of the miserable day of Jungkook's, all thanks to him.
Containing himself, he asks further. "How often did you have those?"
"A- almost every time I sleep. Be it the day or night, alone or with y- you around."
Taehyung gets up from where he's seated only to sit beside the trembling boy and pulls him into a hug.

"I- I'm - I'm actually glad that you're here with me. Th- thank you,really. I never get to say this b-but I'm really really grateful to you."
"Don't say like this. I'm doing this because I want to."

They were now cuddled up on the couch quietly enjoying the other's company when Taehyung got a call for work.

"It's ok, you need to go. I'll be alright."
"I'll try to leave early from work. Try sleeping for a bit. Call me if you have another bad dream or if you feel lonely."
"Hmm. Bye."
"Take care." Taehyung pats Jungkook's head before he's out the door.

Although the morning started messier than the others, it was also the best morning so far. Jungkook feels as if married to the love of his life.
