MEGAMI'S EYES WERE STILL PLANTED FIRMLY ON, Hibana's figure as she stands over Iris as the blonde girl finally begins to shake off her shock as she stared up at her.

"Nothing you gain from doing those things will ever make you happy!" Iris shouts as she stared helplessly up at Hibana. Her eyes never left the taller girl's form as she looked up at her, hoping to somehow persuade her.

Megami hated the fact that she couldn't agree with Iris completely. She wanted nothing more than to agree wholly with her, but there was no way she could do so truthfully.

"You say those pretty words, but in reality," Hibana's fists clenched at her sides for a moment and Megami felt her body tense as she saw her fist rise. "But the reality is you're just waiting to be incinerated!"

Before her fist could lash out and make Iris's innocent skin, Megami forced her body to zap as she appeared before Iris. Her arms wrapped around the smaller girl as she blocked her from the force of Hibana's hit. Megami's teeth gritted against each other as she felt the force of Hibana's hit along with the lingering burn that it left right between her shoulder blade and felt sick as she leaned herself to cover Iris completely as Iris clung tightly to her body out of shock.

Suddenly the doors of the room they occupied slammed open and as Megami glanced back, she caught sight of Shinra's figure appearing in the doorway. For the life of her, she couldn't decide whether she was actually grateful for the fact that he was there, or if she hated the fact he was there. Before she could decide, she quickly chose that she wasn't as she forced annoyance to run through her in order to try to ignore the fact that she did slightly appreciate the fact that he showed up when he did. But she hated that small part of her because it was supposed to be her moment, not their moment, they weren't supposed to share moments, they were supposed to be hers or no ones, or maybe Arthur's, but no one else, certainly not Shinra's.
