Inside a Music Box

by Amethyst M

A tiny, little girl dances in a box,

Whenever she is called for,

Open the box and she shall dance,

With beautiful music to play along,

If she were to get tired,

And the music to stop,

At the back of the box is a key,

As little as a pinky nail

Just wind it up,

And you will see.

The tiny, little girl,

In her pink tiny, little tutu,

In ribbon bound shoes,

With her hair in a bun,

And her arms above her head,

With her hands apart,

She will twirl at top performance,

Like a eagle in flight,

With the music that watches,

To keep in time.

If you were to get bored,

Of this tiny, little girl,

She will still bow,

At the end of each performance,

As you close the box.
