"You're going to go stay with my best friend Dawn for the week whilst me and Dad go to LA to sort some things out with our business." My mom stated, I just looked at her blankly.

"Well why can't I just stay here by myself?!" I ask her confused.

"Because we don't know if we will be coming back in a week and we don't want you to panic or anything." She says and I just roll my eyes angrily.

"Fine." I say, trying to keep my anger at bay. I was spending the first week or so of summer with complete strangers. Great.

So here I was, sitting in the back of the car with my headphone plugged in, on my way to my mum's best friend' house. I had my headphone plugged in and I was staring out the window, I was pretty annoyed to say the least. I had practically ignored my parents ever since they told me I was going to be staying at Dawn's house. I knew my mom was excited to see her again so I was trying to keep my complaining small for today. As well as the fact that she had to get a plane out to LA today so she was quite stressed. My parents were in the front of the car in conversation about what time the flights were and making sure that they have everything. I let out a sigh and focused my attention on the world passing by outside of the car.

When we finally got their I was glad to get out of the car and away from my mom's constant stressing. I pulled my bags out of the trunk as my mom goes up to the front door and gives it a knock. The house was definitely larger than mine, probably almost twice the size, with a white exterior it definitely seemed to be a more of a mansion than a house. When the front door opened, a lady about the same age as my mom stood their.

"Dawn!" My mom shouted and hugged her tightly.

"Emily!" Dawn hugged her back. "Oh my God! Look at you! You have't aged a day!" She says and my mum laughs. They develop into quite a deep conversation as I am left to haul my bags inside.

"You must be Anna." She asks, she seemed very friendly and sweet.

"Yeah." I breath out as I pull my bags inside. I let out a sigh and then give Anna a quick hug.

"How old are you?" She asks curiously

"Sixteen, will be seventeen in two months." I reply, trying to sound friendly.

"Yes that's right because you are three months younger than Jack." I look from her to her to my mom. "Jack's my son. I'll call him to help you with your bags. I think that you will get on well." She says and then shouts upstairs to Jack.

"He'll be down in a minute to help you with the bags." She says with a large smile. I return the smile with a forced one. They all walk away, leaving me with my bags. I begin to haul them into the house, but struggling slightly.

"Do you need some help there." Someone asked from behind me.

"Yeah, that would be just great." I say, anger clear in my voice. I hear him chuckle and it makes me even more annoyed. I begin to pull the last bag into the house when a hand is placed on mine. I suddenly feel very aware of what is going on and my hand ignites with a tingly sensation.

"Let me get that for you." He says. I look up at him, he has dark brown hair that was perfectly quiffed with dark brown eyes that were staring right back at me, he had a smirk plastered on his lips as I began to let get of the bag. Immediately feeling the loss of his hand on mine weighing on my chest.

We grab the bags and make our way up the large staircase.

"I'm guessing that you are Anna?" He asks curiously,

"Yeah, that's me." I say casually. I look at him as he carries the bags up the stairs, he is definitely well built and I watch as his arms carry up the bags.
