You took my hand and shook it well.
My body couldn't take
What you've said
It was emotion
Too deep for my soul
I trembled like leaves
In cold autumn breeze
Frozen green eyes, your gaze from afar
Sticking the knife into my heart
I'm trying
To forgive you
But I'm a mess
My state is a dream.
No more and no less
What would you do?
Would you let me kiss you
Hug the sorrowed blues away
Dark tunnels where I hid from your eyes
Got lighter and brighter
I'm now in a maze
Of destruction
Distracted birds fly high
You say
I pray
Let me be
Let me see
Let me believe
