Hayden POV
Me and Henry are walking with Emma to the bus, Henry is on one side of her and I'm on the other.
" Are you sure we can be seen out in the open?" Henry asked
" Enough sneaking around. If your has a problem with me walking you to a school bus, I am more than happy to have that chat. Same to go with your dad," Emma said
"He doesn't really mind," I said with a big smile
She nodded
"You're brave. You'll need that for Operation Cobra. Speaking of, do you think we need code names?" Henry said
"Isn't "Cobra" our code name?" Emma asked
" That's the mission. I mean us. we need something to call you." I said with a smile
" Oh, um... well I don't... you can just call me "Emma" for now." She said a little stunned
" Okay, well We'll see you later, Emma." We both say
we both get on the bus.
I was upstairs doing my homework when I heard dad yell.
I close my book and rush down the stairs.I see dad wiping his eyes and on the ground,
"Dad!" I yelled rushing to him,
"I'm alright, can you be a sweetheart and get me a cold wash cloth?" He asked
I nodded rushing to the kitchen, getting a cloth and wetting it. and bringing it to him, He slowly stood up and washed his face,
It was now the next dad and me and dad were at Miss. Blanchard's front door Dad knocked.
" Ms. Blanchard, is Ms. Swan here?" Dad asked
(Emma approaches)
"Hi, my name is Mr. Gold, we met briefly on your arrival." Dad said
"I remember." Emma said
"Good, I have a proposition for you, Ms. Swan. I need your help. I'm looking for someone." Dad said
" Really? um..." Emma spoked
"You know what? I am going to jump in the bath." Miss Blanchard said She walks away
" I have a photo." Dad said
He hands her a picture of Ashley
" Her name is Ashley Boyd and she's taken something quite valuable of mine." Dad said
" So why don't you just call the police?" Emma said
" Because uh... she's a confused young woman. She's pregnant, alone, and scared. I don't want to ruin this young girl's life, but I just want my property returned." Dad said
" And what is it?" Emma asked
" Well one of the advantages of you not being the police is discretion. Let's just say it's a precious object and leave it at that." Dad said
" When did you see her last?" Emma asked
" Last night. That's how I got this." Dad spoke
He shows the gash on his forehead
" It's so unlike her. She was quite wound up, rambling on and on about changing her life. I have not idea what got into her. Ms. Swan, please just help me find her. My only other choice is the police, and I don't think anyone wants to see that baby born in jail, now do they." Dad said
" No, of course not." Emma spoke
"So you'll help me then?" Dad asked
" I will help her" Emma replied
" Grand." Dad said
The door opens and Henry enters
" Hey Emma, I was thinking we..." Henry said
" Hey Henry, how are you?" Dad smiled
"Okay. Can Hayden be ungrounded and hang out with me today?" Henry asked
"Of course, I have some things to do, Hayden I want you home before eight," He said
"Okay, thank you," I said smiling
"Good. Give my regards to your mother, and um... good luck Ms. Swan." Dad said
dad leaves
" Do you know who that is?" Henry asked Emma
"Yeah, of course I do." Emma said
" Who? Cause I'm still trying to figure it out." Henry said
"Oh, I meant in reality." Emma said
" Is that all you brought?" Henry asked
" Henry, what are you doing here?" Emma asked
" My mom's gone till 5:00 I thought we could hang out." Henry said
I nodded
" Aw, kid I wish I could, but there's something I gotta do." Emma said
Me and Henry both smile at each other,
" Please let us help." Henry said as we walked with Emma
" No, no it could be dangerous." Emma replied
"The pregnant maid is dangerous?" I asked
" She assaulted Mr. Gold. Your dad," Emma said looking at me
"Cool." Henry said I glared at him.
"Sorry" He said
" This isn't a game. She's desperate." Emma said
" How do you know?" I asked
" Because I know." Emma replied
" Well, then let's find her." Henry said
" Oh no, no, no, no there is no "let's". You cannot come with me." Emma said
"Then we'll look for her ourself." Henry said
" Then I'll find you both and I'll bring you both back." Emma said
"Then you wouldn't be helping the maid." I spoke while smiling
" I am just trying to be responsible here." Emma said
" And we're just trying to spend time with you." Henry said
we get in Emma's car
" Oh, that is really not fair. " She said
She gets in the car.
" So the maid, what's her story?" Henry asked
