"Well, here we go," Sara said as she took her luggage to her new apartment in Sakashita in the Gifu Prefecture. When she got the opportunity to move to Japan, she specifically wanted to stay where her favorite mangaka, Junji Ito, was from. She was obsessed with horror movies, novels, manga, and anime, and because of her interest in the macabre and occult, she was picked on and labeled weird by her classmates in school.
Sara made her way up the stairs after getting the key from the landlord. She wasn't the kind of girl who wanted anything fancy, as long as her apartment provided basic comforts, then she would be happy. It was a small apartment with a kitchen, a small living room, and a bedroom with a futon.
She would be happy living here and was excited for the opportunities Japan would bring to her.
