storming weather outside
I was listening to the music of the wind
So quiet in the room
1:15 am on the clock
I lay down on my bed
picked up my phone
called him to ask him where he was
The number was dialed and someone picked it up.
I excitedly said, "Hey!.Je," but I did not hear his voice.
"The number you have dialed is currently switched off," it said.

Maybe he was doing something important.
I did not want to disturb him,
So I plugged my phone in charging
I tossed and turned all night.

The following morning
Sun rose from the East
Birds chirping outside
Old people walking with their loved one
The muddy weather was gone.

I woke up at 7:15 am
Even though I went to bed at 1 am
I went to the kitchen.
our both stomach was rumbling
I threw some pretzels and cereal into the milk for breakfast
I never liked pretzels before.
But the baby inside of me liked it.

I always had morning sickness
But today was different
I craved really sweet sweet snacks
I felt as if my baby knew I had my first doctor's appointment.
We already had a mom-baby bond.

I was only 9 weeks
But I felt like my stomach was already like a balloon.

Hours past by
Jeff was not home yet
The house was empty
I could only hear the clock ticking
I lay down in bed
Opened my phone
I fell asleep while looking at the blue screen
And while waiting for him.

The next morning,
He was not on the bed
I went outside the bedroom to check
He was in the living room
Sleeping on the sofa
With a liquor bottle in his hand.

We had a doctor's appointment today
For the baby's check-up
I hurried to wake Jeff up before it was too late
He smelled like musty old clothes
I rushed him into the bathroom
So he could brush his teeth and shower.
Jeff still had a strong odor of beer. It was unpleasant.

I did not ask much about it.
I kept quiet and drove the car by myself
Since I did not want Jeff to get arrested by police
for the smell of his alcohol.

I tried to drive fast but I could not
There were too many cars, honking
And red signals.

We arrived 25 minutes late.
Tried to walk fast into the doctor's office.
"Hey, DoctorHartz here?" I told the office lady.
"Yes he is, will be shortly with you please have a seat," she said with a smile on her face.
Me and Jeff sat down patiently waiting for the doctor to come.
After a few moments...
"Mily and Jeff," Dr.Hartz said with our file in his hands "please come this way"
We followed him.
He led us to a room, where there was a baby's picture all over the wall.
Dr.Hartz said, "How are you?"
"Good," I said, and Jeff nodded.
"I needed to ask how the baby was doing," I said, while bouncing my legs anxiously.
"Oh, no, don't worry. they are fine," Dr.Hartz said.
I felt so relieved.
I was craving to hear that my baby was fine and healthy.
"Yeah, I am 9 weeks pregnant right now," I said.
"Well, don't worry, time will fly by," he said.
"Come see me next month," he said with a smile.
Jeff didn't say anything at the appointment.
We went to the hospital parking lot
To find our car
Jeff said he wanted to drive now
Since I drive slowly like a turtle.
I put my seatbelt on
I knew he was gonna drive in sports mode

We arrived home quickly
I had no lunch prepared
There was no meal to make
I was too tired to cook
And I was exhausted
So I wanted to order online
But Jeff said
"No, it is going to take so much time, and it is going to be cold."
"Then what do we do? I don't want to go outside, I feel dizzy."
"How about I eat outside and will bring you the leftovers."
"Okayy, but come fast please."
He went outside with the car keys
