𝟎𝟎𝟐. 𝐈 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 as the sun sunk below the the horizons yellow hue, reflecting on the ocean. my legs were covered in sand and ached slightly due to surfing for hours on end.
I heard faint voices from behind me. I look over my shoulder to see my friends walking towards me with food and drink. "What took you so long" I said in a playful tone snatching a beer from Leo. They all sat down beside me on the sand taking in the view. "Are you going to the park now party tomorrow night?" Peter asked me, taking a sip from his drink. "I don't know, I seriously stand lily and her friends" I said rolling my eyes at the thought of them. "Oh come on, it will be fun" said miles "okay fine but if lily and the others start at me, I'm leaving." I said giggling.
We talked for hours on end, laughing about old memories and making fun of people from our school, everything felt perfect. Little did I know what was heading my way.

The sky was like an endless ocean, the moon shone brightly lighting up my path. It was 12pm and no one was in sight. It felt like the hole world was silent. My friends offered me up a lift but I refused not wanting to cause any hassle. A slight breeze sent a shiver down my spine, I started to regret my choice.
I was 2 minutes away from my house and the word tired wouldn't be able to describe how exhausted I was. I still always enjoyed the walk to my house from the beach though. It was always so peaceful. Everyone at home was probably asleep by now. I pretty sure they were used to me coming home late. Or so I thought. I finally reached my nans house pulling out my key before unlocking the door. The warmth hugged me as I stepped inside my nans house. I had always loved my nans house, it was always so cosy and warm. Suddenly at of the corner of my eye I saw my brother walking towards me, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked towards him to see an angry expression pasted on his face.
"Where the hell have you been" he says fury filling his voice I saw my Nan on the Sofa also looking angry as well but mostly disappointment could be seen on her face. "I was just... out with my friends" I said quietly not wanting him in the eye. "I'm so tired of this shit Natalia, your being so selfish. We've all been worried sick about you. Maddy and Violet were waiting for you for two hours to pick them up. Oh shit I completely forgot about picking them up.I thought to myself.
"Oh come on it's not like you can't pick them up yourself, and it's not like I learn anything in school! So I'm soo sorry you worried but- before I could finish my sentence my Nan cut me off "all you ever do is think about yourself! We tried calling you so many times!" My Nans voice wavered a bit. We thought something had happened to you. She said tears visible in her eyes.
Guilt consumed me like a wildfire. "I don't want you to be friends with these boys" my Nan said sternly. Yeah, I did feel bad but no way would I drop my friends. "Look Nanny, im sorr-" "just go to your room" my Nan said firmly. "But" I started "just go" my brother spoke up glaring at me. I rolled my eyes before going up the stairs.
My eyes stung slightly. A lump forming in my throat. I saw my sisters waiting for me at the top of the stairs. They both hugged me tightly. I don't deserve them.
