Do what you love
And you radiate like the sun
And all around you can feel it
For we are all one
Fall in love with love
And surrender all else
And if you must mourn the loss
Love the release of the self
Loosen the reins
And the stiffness of breath
Let tears fall as they may
Let fresh breezes bring rest
Seek the stillness in action
And you'll go on forever
Sail the beat of your heart
Let it take you wherever
This is my religion
This is why I am here
This is what writes my poems
This is all I hold dear
Sometimes I cry
And it brings me more love
Sometimes I laugh
And bring others more love
And neither is better
They both have their place
Therein lies strength in the tender
And tender in strength
As I think this and feel this
And this poem gets undug
My pulse wraps around me
Like a muscular hug
And my breath falls like mountains
Growing taller and brave
And never more do I worry
About how one "should" behave
I come to the ground
To the birthplace of self
With space to bear anything
Upon sacred shelf
I invite you to join me
I may ask you the same
For I don't always remember
How to play this life game
We all need reminding
We all need a hug
Sometimes: it's the no-fail
Universal drug
The therapies differ
In form and in name
But hush and you'll notice
Each form feels the same
In ultimate practice
When pitched to the sky
And let fly like a bird
With love the only "why"
Let's not just paint pictures
In words and in wishes
But to bring them to life
Like a pond of goldfishes
May the waters be calm
May they cry if they may
May they roll with the breezes
And gold-glisten all day
All life shares one pond
All the world beats one heart
Get still and this "knowing"
Never from you shall part
It's ironically greater
Than "trying too hard"
And working alone
In your ever-growing backyard
Have faith, not aloneness
But faith in the one
In the allness of love
God's will just gets done
