My poem for you

Dead Dove

And here I'm sitting
Weeping on the floor
The oven's open
But my heart is closed off
I baked cookies for the one you truly love
I added sugar and sweetness to make up for your lack of love

I saw you there
Laughing, playing, making jokes
I saw the way you look at him
The way you once looked at me

Oh how I hate love
But whatever
You never cared about that shit anyway

Let me take you back in time
To a desert, we called our well of love
Let me hold you close again
Feel the sand on your hand
Let me burn the world for you
Just to see your smile

But oh please don't leave me there again
Please take me to your world of love
Let me in again my sweet dead dove

See Me

Oh, my sweet sweet earth,
Why can't you see me for who I am?
Why won't you look beyond my skin?
Why won't you see my tears while you look straight at me?

I walked around the world to prove myself right.
I fought all the wars you wanted me to!
I saw your world shatter in front of me,
And god... It felt so nice!

I ripped my parts off just for you to see me like I do.

I know what I do when you're not here,
I know how much I ruin your world.
I know I can get a little selfish, but aren't you too?

I will pluck my hair out,
I will cut my limbs off,
I will sacrifice myself to God,
I will run away,
Just for you to see me like I do.

It's a little strange,
Don't you think?
All those worlds in which I am with you,
But only one in which you see me like I do

I shatter your world
And then pick up its pieces,
I carefully craft it all back
Just to destroy it again just like you do.

But, hey!
All of it is just a game to you...

My Star

I look up and see the moon you looked up to,
I walk out and feel the dirt you once felt too,
I reach for the stars to feel your warmth,
I walk on a path you sometimes followed me on,
I sit around and sense this feel of dread,
I run and then jump up instead.

I leap into the dark night,
I sing a cry for you,
I wish to give my warmth to you.

I weep my heart out to someone who's in the stars,
I lied when I said I wouldn't hurt myself too,
I lied, but you listened while I poured my glue on you.

I fell into those eyes reflecting the luminous light of stars.
I searched for a shining nova near and far,
I made a promise to my binary star,
I got lost in the galaxies beyond my eye.

I needed you like a constellation needs its shining star.

Hey,
I saw how you looked at the stars when I was with you, and when I left I told them about you. I wish I could've drawn stars around your scars, but two voids can't make light. It feels sappy, but it's true. I don't belong here, my place is in the stars. When I'm gone I will kiss the universe just like I once kissed you. You felt like the moon in my arms, cold and beautiful, but one side of you is always locked away. I can't lie, it looked as if you were built from the light of stars and your scars were galaxies. I just want to say, if forever does exist, I want to spend it with you.
