OOOOOOH WE ARE BACK TO IT!!!

'For the Future' special's events SPOILER WARNING!!

Y/n's p.o.v

This is NOT the boiling Isles...

I felt something tagging at my hand and helping me up.

"What is this place...?"
Hunter mumbled when both of us got on our legs.

We were just laying in a low, dark water, but it didn't stain us in any way.
Weird...

"Maybe the portal's unstable! Should we go back?"
I turned around, but there was nothing.
Only sharp walls around and dark water underneath.

This place made me feel tired and loopy.
Hunter looked around. I couldn't read his expression. It was empty.

His lidded, now brown eyes glanced at himself, then at me.

"Are we dead...?"
His voice was quiet, almost unheard.

"What?! Of course not!"
I dismissed.
I put his hand on my heart and I put mine on his.

"See? We are alive.
Just... lost."

"...right..."

I could sense a dark cloud of grief taking over his mind. I can't blame him.

Flapjack...

No.
I have to be strong.
For us.
For him.

I tried to take a step, and noticed that the ground under the water felt weak, as if nothing was underneath that layer of ground.

I leaned down and carefully dug through.
I couldn't see under the water, but I did feel some cold air.

"Hun, I think that-AAAAAAAAH!"

I'm falling!
Am I falling?
Wait, no. No I'm not.
I'm on stable ground.
...I feel dumb for screaming.

I found myself laying in the middle of a forest. A portal was nearby.

"Y/N?!"
Hunter called out to me.

I crawled over. My side, that was strangely bandaged by yours truly, was still aching from the injury I received from the fight with YOU KNOW WHO.

I manages to reach my hand through the portal.

"Can you see my hand?"

When I felt the warm hand getting a grip on mine, I pulled him through the portal and into my arms.

"G-GAH!"
Hunter was also confused from the feeling of falling down.

"We are in the boiling Isles,"
I smiled at him.
"The portal worked!"

"YOU WORRIED ME SO MUCH!"
He wrapped his arms around me.
"Y-You just disappeared out of no where and... a-and..."

OWOWOW THAT HUG'S TIGHT-

"It was only for less than a minute..."
I winched.

"Longest minute in eternity."
He concluded and finally let go.

I let out a lot of air and held onto my hurt side. The makeshift bandages didn't really hold up.

"S-Sorry!"
Hunter panicked.

"Don't worry. Let's move to the side, the others should be here soon."

"Alright..."
He sighed and supported me as both of us stood up on our legs and stepped away from the portal.
