Chapter 22: Gone......

No matter what Riley did, she can't seem to see where Damien is nor his car. Mukhang alam ni Damien ang balak niya kaya gumawa din ito ng paraan para hindi niya siya masundan.

It was frustrating for her. She saw the car turn left and waited for a minute to follow pero ng kumaliwa na siya ay 3 sasakyan ang kaparehas ng kay Damien and from all the things that she forgot, the plate number should be the least.

But it soon came back to her. Ni hindi man lang niya nakita ang motorsiklong nasa likuran lang niya o kaya ang pinsan niyang nakasunod lang sakanya.

As the traffic goes on, she decided to follow the car towards an empty parking lot.

Simula pa lang sa pagtigil ng sasakyan ay alam na ni Riley na nahalata siya ni Damien. She got out of her vehicle and went towards the car. Nang makita niya ito sa malapitan. She was so sure that the car was Damien's

Her favorite logo was pasted on the side of the door. Although she couldn't see what's inside since the window was tinted but the silhouette she saw made her suspicious.

It was broader than Damien. But maybe her eyes deceives her, seeing that it was dark.

Biglang bumukas ang pintuan ng kotse on both sides and she was shocked for a bit at seeing Charles before cursing in every language she knows.

"Hi, Sky Princess." Charles cheerfully greeted.

"Asan si Damien?" galit na tanong niya kay Charles. Charles didn't let the anger affect him nor the question. He just shrugged uncaring. "Huwag kang magsinungaling sa akin, Montereal! I know my bestfriend inside and out. He will not let you drive the car if it's not part of his fucking plans."

"If you really know, then you should know by now that he wouldn't let anything happen to you and that you should trust him and go back home."

"My trust of seeing him safe whenever he does this kind of thing has been shattered for years. He is reckless without me."

"As you are now. Let him be. I trust him to go back home to you. Pero sa ngayon I need to get you back to the mansion before your brother launched a nationwide search for their Princess."

"Hindi mo naiintindihan, Montereal. Damien would kill himself voluntarily to keep me safe. He's that idiotic! We are the Elemental Duo for fuck's sake! So let me know where he is now!"

"I trust him to be safe and to go back home to you. Besides 2 years kang nawala sa tabi niya. He changed at those times. He is independent. He doesn't need anyone."

"You're an idiot. Damien is an idiot for trusting you with his life!"

"Do you think madali lang ito para sa akin!?" galit na tanong ni Charles, his cool long gone.

"Well from how you act. Yes madali lang ito para sa iyo. Sabagay hindi mo naman talaga kilala si Damien Villanueva."

"And you know him!? Hindi ba nagalit ka nga at umalis sa tabi niya because he told someone that you're nothing but a weak crybaby princess who always need a protection by her side."

"OH! Come on!" mapait na tumawa si Riley. "you really think naniwala ako sa kanya nang sinabi niya yon!? Sa tingin mo wala akong alam sa nangyayari sa buhay ni Damien. I know every move he does while I'm gone as he know my every move. Alam ko rin kung bakit niya sinabi ang mga salitang iyon and aaminin ko nagagalit ako sa kanya but not for the reasons you all thought! And those reasons are only to be heard by him. So shut up! Wala kang alam sa buhay naming dalawa."

"I do not care anymore, you're going home whether you like it or not."

"I'm far stronger than you are, Montereal."

"Sorry Princess but I know your body hasn't recovered completely besides you forgot hindi ako mag-isa. I simply distracted you." Charles said with a sad smirk and before Riley knows it. A handkerchief was shoved at her face rendering her on borderline unconscious.

"Ikaw na magdrive nang motor nya. Ako na bahala sa kanya at sa kotse ni Damien." Utos ni Charles kay Dennis na siyang kasama niya.

Meanwhile......

Ralph saw Damien use his motorcycle as the car was trailed by Riley. He can't help but shake his head. His chilldhood friend really does know her too much to know what she would do.

A decoy so no one would see. Unfortunately for Damien, Ralph was there.

There was also a red car following Damien which confused Ralph.

Mukhang napansin din ito ni Damien kaya ito ay lumihis ng daan papunta sa may tagong lugar. Walang katao tao o kahit na anong sasakyang makikita na dumadaan sa rutang iyon. Humanap si Ralph ng mapaparadahan na malayo bago siya lumapit at nagtago sa may sulok apat na lalaki ang lumabas mula sa sasakyan na pumarada sa naghihintay na si Damien.

He quietly went closer to hear them talk.

"...... trust me?" tanong ni Damien with a serious look on his face.

"Of course he does, Villanueva. Sadyang alam ni Boss na gagawin mo ang lahat dahil patay na patay ka kay Mendoza. Pero alam niya ring merong susunod sa iyo kahit na anong gawin mong takas. After all, Mendozas are the most secretive family." Sagot ng lalaki with a smirk. Ralph tried to see the cars plate number mula sa kinalalagyan niya but there was not a single trace of said plate.

"Mauna na kayo at susunod ako." Madilim na sabi ni Damien.

"Uh uh... nakita naming ang isa sa mga Mendoza na sumusunod sa iyo." With that said naramdaman ni Ralph na may kung anong mabigat na bagay ang pumalo sa kanyang ulo. It was metal, that was for sure. Napasigaw siya and Damien look at his side. "Ikaw ang susunod sa lahat ng utos namin, hindi kami susunod sa iyo. Lucky for that brat, sinabihan kami ni Boss na ikaw lang ang kuhanin at pabayaan na ang kung sinong susunod sa iyo. So be thankful at pinatulog lang naming ang kaibigan mo. Ang kaso nga lang sino kayang magliligtas sa kanya? Hmmm. Kaya pumasok ka na sa kotse!" biglang utos ng lalaki. Ralph was thankful that he was good at acting or else mahahalata nilang hindi siya nawalan ng malay.

Hindi niya narinig na umangal si Damien but the sound of the car's door closing made him nervous. What the hell is happening? Saan pupunta si Damien or better yet saan dadalhin si Damien?

A couple of minutes after ay nasiguro niyang wala ng tao. Tinry niyang bumangon pero mukhang manhid parin ang katawan niya. He just hoped that someone would find him before the pain consumed him.
