I couldn't shake those yellow eyes away from my thoughts. It haunts my head in the morning and it's in my dreams during the night. It's been three days, but I can't stop thinking about them. I don't know how, and I don't know why I couldn't.

Nothing much has happened since then, everything just coming out as a blur. I haven't seen Arthur, and I don't know how he avoids me, since life underground is so much smaller than the life above, and I don't know what to feel about it. I'm still quite numb.

It seems like there are a lot ofthings that I don't know.

"Tam, you need to eat. You can't go to the brawl later without food in your stomach." Paisley said to me, trying to force feed me with mushroom soup.

I stared at the plastic spoon infront of me, and then I took it from her. I didn't eat that much, because I gave what was my share to my sister and my mom, because they both needed it more than me. I only ate what was left from what they ate, if there were any.

I shot Paisley a thankful look when I ate it, and I sat there quietly as my other friends were chewing on something.

It was late, around two in the afternoon. I fed my mom and my sister before going to my friends. This was the usual time we ate lunch.

We sat in a circle, Paisley on my right and Frieda on my left. Lucas was beside her. And the more I thought about it, the circle felt smaller without Arthur beside me.

After eating with my friends, I decided to go roam around. I was still deciding if I should go visit the world above or not. I still get shivers from thinking about the man's warning. Be careful out here.

I started to walk towards tunnel 1, where the marketplace was. And as I was walking to there, I couldn't help but remember what happened during Judgment day.

As we were walking, picking out a few items on the checklist, we were surrounded by various chatter of the people around, talking and laughing about something. And then, something stood out from the silence. A scream.

Everyone started to look panicked, and they rushed to go outside. I decided that I should just stay back for awhile with V, since it was a bit risky to be in the middle of a crowd. We might just get injured.

I swore that I could hear the flapping of wings outside the grocery store, but I just shrugged it off. I didn't think that there would be a bird that big to make that loud of a sound.

A lot of the people started to scream too, and some tried to go out, while others went back in. I overheard a conversation, in where a woman was asking what that was- what those were. And the other said they were angels.

Angels? I laughed. They couldn't be real.

I was wrong, so so wrong.

It was minutes after that I caught the first glimpse of an angel, after I told Vera to stay quiet and to stay where she was. I went to the nearest window, and there, I saw it. I gasped. Let me tell you this: he looked completely and utterly glorious. This winged man was physically flawless, his hair pushed back and his wings out and exposed. There was always something beautiful about the way they moved, and I hated it. How can vile creatures like them be like that?

It was also then when I first saw someone die. The same angel stabbed a sword through a man's chest, and it almost looked like he enjoyed it. It was scary to watch that all happen- and it was scary to see all that, everything was so bloody and gory that I had to look away.
