Last night, I dreamed of you,
A dream so real
And so intense,
I railed against the morning light.
Last night, I dreamed of you,
My lips brushed your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Then rested, on your soft red lips.
Last night, I dreamed of you,
My fingers softly tracing lines,
Across your marble skin,
As my soul softened within.
Last night, I dreamed of you,
I bathed within the light of your smile,
While all my sins
Were washed away.
Today, when I awoke,
I spoke to the sandman,
Asking him, if I might,
Dream of you again tonight.
