Edging (or also called "orgasm denial") is literally just as it says: one party will be denied orgasm. They will be brought "to the edge" of orgasm before suddenly stopping the action and starting over again. This can lead to more intense orgasms.
If taken too far however, edging can lead to an emotional down. Therefore it's important to use safewords and respect each other's boundaries.
