Seven

Mya's POV;

Between the sun, sand and water it was easy for time to slip by quickly with Knox and Evie, Evie was the most gorgeous, happy little girl and it was easy to see the love the two of them shared. Knox doted on his daughter - he was clearly an amazing father.
And Jake was also easy to talk to, he was hilarious and super friendly.
The three of them had an amazing relationship - they were so close and it was honestly blew my mind that they allowed me to part of it for the day.

And Knox - what a guy, between the way he was with his daughter, the warm way he made me feel like I was part of his family and those gorgeous green eyes that I swear could see right down into my soul, he was unlike anyone I had ever met.
I bounced in the waves, the warm water at my waist. I could hear Evie's shrill screams and laughter from the shore side where she was busy playing chicken at the waters edge with Jake.
A warm body pressed tight up against my back, Wet hands firmly gripped my hips, electricity ran through my body from the places where his fingers were touching my bare skin, his breath hitting across my cheek as his low voice whispered,

"This is her favourite place, she loves the water,
has done since she was a baby, since the first time she saw the ocean, fuck I think she was swimming before she could walk.

I turned, his hands loosening but remaining in place on my hips, my chest pressed against his as the ocean gently rocked and rolled around us.

"She's beautiful Knox"

"She is" he nodded, reaching up to tuck a piece of my behind my way "And so are you"

"Knox" my voice was barely above a whisper, my heart pounding hard in my chest at the way he was looking at me, I grabbed hold of his arms, they were so big and strong and as he slowly wrapped them around my waist closing any distance that remained between us, my entire body relaxed into him.

"Look Mya, today has been nothing short of amazing, spending time with you - fuck - not to sound cliche but I feel like I've known you for a lot longer than just a day"

"I know what you mean, I feel the same way"

Knox gave me a smile,

"I also know it would be stupid to try and start something but I can't help it and I would love to see more of you, while your here - if that's ok"

"Yes Knox, that's very ok"

"I'll have to work things out with Jake to see if he can watch Evie, but maybe I can take you out, tomorrow night, on a date"

I nodded, moving my hands up and placing them on his firm chest, the water crashing softly against us.

"You could bring her with us"

The smile he gives me lights up his entire face, as he brings his hand up to cup my cheek softly - his fingers softly stroking my skin. He bent his head lower pressing his forehead against mine,

"Fuck Mya, these past few years everything I've done has been to give Evie the best life possible - she is the greatest thing to ever happen to me and I've been happy - but you, Fuck you make me want to lose control, you make me want something I haven't wanted in a really, really long time and I've only known you for a few hours"

My breath caught in my throat, his eyes bore into me. This feeling, whatever it was, that he giving me - it wasn't normal - I knew that, this feeling was what they had written in the stories I would spend hours reading when I was younger and now, every single thing this man was making me feel was like nothing I had ever felt before and wow did I want nothing more than for Knox to kiss me.

"Daddyyyyyyyyyyy"

Knox pulled away quick enough to catch his little girl who was leaping out of Jakes arms.

"Hey baby girl"

"Sorry man" Jake's glanced back and for the between the two of us - smirking "She wanted to come get you"

"Did you just Princess"

I watched with a smile on my face as Evie placed her hands on Knox's cheeks, a massive grin on her face,

"Yep - Can we build a sandcastle?"

"A sandcastle?" Knox raised his eyebrows at his daughter who nodded repeatedly at her Dad

"Yep - Jake said we need to show Mya how we build the biggest sandcastles on the world"

"Ok then - you sure your ready for this Snow White"

Knox and Evie both turned their heads towards me, and I knew from the look on Knox's face, from the way his eyes connected with mine and the way my heart pounded so heavily in my chest there was more to his question than sandcastles as much as I knew I was getting in way over my head.
