Chapter 2:

2weeks later.

BEEP

I groaned.

BEEP

"Turn it off!" I complained. I opened my eyes to see what that annoying beeping sound was. it took me a while to see take in my surroundings.

I was in a hospital. Which explained the annoying beeping noise. I heard a gasp, I sat up to see where the sound was coming from.

In the corner of the room, was .....

My mother, except she wasn't the woman that I remembered. Her used to be, thick brown hair, now was thin and flat, her cheeks weren't that pink, she was pail, she was wearing baggy clothes, her eye had bags, like she hadn't slept in , 1,095 days.

She was a ghost.

"Phoenix?" She asked. "M-mom?" I replied.

"Yes baby it's me,"

As soon as she said that my older brother Jake, came in. "Jake?" I asked. Tears came down hi face, as he walked toward me. He took my hand.

"I missed you Phoe," He said.I couldn't bring myself to say anything. I was finally out of hell. No more beatings, no more anything.

I was home.
