October 30, 1978

Today I debated on whether I would go to the video store or not and decided against it. There was no way there weren't going to be people with pitchforks demanding me to turn myself in or 'face the consequences'. I planned on staying inside for the next couple of days and lay low. That was until I got news of a costume party happening later today. As much as I hated parties, I felt as if this was what I needed to relax myself.

I now had an idea as to what I wanted to do today and for Halloween.
I would buy new horror films and snacks.
I was going to buy them now, that way I wouldn't have to do it later and once I come back, I would be able to head to the party.

I drove off and played music in my car to try to drown out my thoughts.
I didn't want to think about Michael today.
My life was already crazy enough as it was.
But I couldn't help myself.
This whole time the tall man was Michael Myers and now everything was making sense.
I didn't want to think about Michael today.
He killed Christopher.
Was it because I asked him to?
Surely he knew I was joking, right?
I didn't want to think about Michael today.
But what did he do with Mary?
Did he kill her?
Is she trapped somewhere?
I didn't want to think about Michael today.

Eventually I had gotten to a small video store.
I didn't want to go to the one I worked at out of fear that the wrong person would see me there and use me as their own personal punching bag or worse.
I quickly walked into the video store and bought a couple of movies.
The movies I bought were, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist, Carrie, and Jaws.

I then drove off to a grocery store and quickly bought everything I needed.
At the grocery store I bought popcorn, candy, and drinks.
I was planning on ordering food tomorrow so I only bought snacks for now.
Plus I was sure there would be food at the party today, so as for today, I wouldn't have to worry about whether I end up eating.

After leaving the store I went back home and put my new movies and snacks away.

I ran upstairs to my bathroom and undressed myself.
I then took a long warm shower and once I was out of the shower I quickly wrapped a towel around my shivering body and ran back to my bedroom. I picked out an outfit that complemented my figure and dropped the towel.

To fit in with the theme of a costume party, I put on fishnet tights with a black skirt over them.
I then wore a tight shirt and an oversized sweater with a zipper over it.
Finally, I paired my outfit up with black boots and fixed up my hair.
This was a bit out of my comfort zone but I felt this would be a chance for me to step out of it.

Once I finished getting ready I drove off to the party and stared at the house searching for anything suspicious. Considering the fact that the last party I was at turned into a blood bath, I was a bit nervous to go in. Eventually I walked in and got a couple stares here and there but none that made me feel as if I was in danger.

Though, while walking in there I saw Melissa.
I also saw a couple people wearing Michael Myers' masks, but I didn't give it much thought.
I had no intentions of speaking to or seeing Melissa so I would just have to do my best to avoid her. It should be pretty easy due to the fact that the party was a bit crowded.

I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed a drink.
It looked like some kind of punch so I took a cup and poured some inside.
It was not punch. After making this discovery I decided to get even more.
After all, I did promise myself I would have fun tonight and leave all my worries behind.

I scanned the room and saw a tall man wearing a Michael Myers mask around people also wearing the mask. Though, he was the only one who seemed uninterested in their conversation.

I walked over to him and grabbed his arm.

"Dance with me!" I smiled.

The tall man looked down at me and said nothing.

"You know.. you kinda remind me of someone! Are you- are you who I think you are?" I suggested while slurring my words.

"Anyways! Let's dance!" I continued.

I tried getting the tall man to dance with me but he wouldn't budge.

"Fine, I'll- I'll dance with myself!"

Before I could make any movements I felt my knees getting weaker and weaker.

"Hey, I- I don't feel so good."

The man walked away and I sat there feeling sick.
I was surprised to see him coming back with a water bottle, though gladly accepted it.
He then took me outside and the two of us laid against nearby trees.

The man took off his mask and I wasn't completely surprised to see Michael.
By this time I was starting to feel better and better understood the situation.
After seeing Michael I was half expecting myself to run in the opposite direction but I didn't.
Instead I found myself staring at him, once again.
I couldn't help but smile.
After all this time, I was finally with Michael.
No one was there to object to me seeing him and there was no terms or conditions.

I placed my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me.
Even after being familiar again to his touch I couldn't help but feel excited at it.

The two of us laid there in a comfortable silence until we heard people leaving.
Michael brought me back into the house and locked the door behind him.
I had an idea as to where this was going and got both nervous and excited.

But then, I stood there in shock staring at what truly awaited me.
