Grams, Bonnie, and I were all together having a conversation.

Bonnie: Was our family burned in the witch trials?

Grams: No, the girls that were persecuted in Salem we entirely innocent. You have to have more than ignorance to trap a real witch

Me: How did we end up in Mystic Falls?

Grams: Our family flee Salem in 1692 and relocated here. Our ancestors lived secrecy for over a hundred years. It's important that we still do.

Bonnie: Grams, everybody knows you're a witch

Grams: They also know it's absurd, can't be true. I'm just a kooky old lady that teaches occult at the university. No on really believes. They just poke fun, and let 'em. Don't let 'em know the truth

Bonnie: Where's the witchcraft? I mean, you've been talking history for 2 days. I wanna get to the fun part

Me: And I wanna better control my vampire urges

Even though I already knew how, have to play the part right?

Grams: It's not meant to be fun. It's real and serious, and you both must understand it before you practice it. Aren't you girls late for school?

[Mystic Falls High]

Caroline came up to Bonnie and me as chipper as she usually is

Caroline: I got you guys costumes. It's all here

Bonnie and I: Seriously?

Caroline: Come on. Can someone please be excited that it's Halloween? I just wanna have fun, you know, just some silly, fluffy, Damon free fun.

Bonnie then noticed a necklace with her things

Bonnie: Hey, isn't this the one you got from Damon?

Caroline: Yep. Wear it. Toss it. I don't care. I just want it gone. Hey have either of you seen Elena? Do you know what she's wearing?

Me: We were with Grams all weekend. We haven't talked to her. Maybe she's with Stefan

Caroline: Riding to his castle on his white horse

Bonnie: Don't be bitter. It provokes wrinkles

[Time skip to the Mystic Falls High Carnival]

Caroline, Bonnie, and I were hanging out when Tyler walked up to us with something to drink

Tyler: Cider for the ladies. It's a Lockwood special

Bonnie: No way. Last year I was hungover until Thanksgiving

I laughed and put the drink down

Me: In that case. Nevermind

Caroline: Lightweights. I am going to drink until someone is hot enough to make out with

Tyler: Sounds like a dream

I walked away after hearing that. I felt awkward and like a third wheel.

[Time skip]

I met up with Bonnie again when Damon came to talk to us

Damon: So where.... where'd Caroline run off too?

Bonnie: Do yourself a favor, Damon, and don't ask me about Caroline.

Damon: Oh, Bonnie. So loyal

Me: She sure is. With a bada** cousin to back her up.

Bonnie: That's right. So just stay away from her

Damon: Where'd you get that?

Bonnie: From a friend

I can only assume she was talking about the crystal

Damon: Caroline. You know that's mine, don't you?

Me: Not anymore

Damon: Funny, love. I'd like it back, please

Bonnie: I'm not giving it to you. I'll give it to Caroline, and she can give it to you is she feels like it

Damon: Or I could just take it right now

I watched as Damon tried to grab the crystal but he burned his hand. I grabbed Bonnie as we ran.

We ran all the way home to Grams house

Grams: What happened to you girls?

Bonnie: I did something

Me: We don't know. It came from her necklace

I said as I pointed to the necklace

Grams: Where'd you get that?

Grams looked a little worried or something like that

Bonnie: It's part of my costume. It's a piece of junk

Grams: That piece of junk belonged to one of the most powerful witches in our family. Let me show you.

She pulled out a scrapbook and showed us a picture. A picture of Emily Bennett

Grams: There she is. Emily Bennett. Your great-great-great-great grandmother. And there's your necklace

Grams said pointing to the necklace that was the same in the picture

Bonnie is starting to know more and more about the past. She'll soon find out how old I really am, what I really am, and who I really am. I just hope her reaction isn't as bad as I think it's going to be.
