said the teacher as she set down her things on her desk

when she had arrived most students had went back to their desks but kept talking, 

Ari had taken out her notebook and started writing until the teacher had called on her

"Ariana, did you finally turn in those assignments? or that packet over the winter break?"

'oh shit i forgot about that! I'm gonna get my ass beat 😭'

"oh my WIFI went out and my cats destroyed my computer"

''ok so what I'm gonna do is call your parents about your missing assignments"

ima start crying now

*time skip*

ok only 10 more minutes before the math class ends

As Ari had started to write in her notebook she had seen that Kate and Mia were passing notes, so she was curious about what they were writing so she tapped Mia's shoulder since they sat next to each other.

"What are you guys writing in the note?"

"Here look"

Then she had passed the note to Ari

'Did u hear abt the new kid?'- kate

'No? What do they look like?' - mia

'Idk but DJ had said that he was dark skinned, tall and looked tired' - kate

'There's a new kid?' Ari said in her thoughts

the teacher had called everyone for their attention

"Okay guys i want you guys to stop writing for a minute and look up at me. Stop talking Jason and Luke. As i was saying, I  had just gotten a call from the main office that there is a new kid he should be coming in right now"
