The elevator tinged as it stopped descending. Y/n stepped out with Yacchi who seemed to be having a hard time carrying a large paper bag full of materials for her project.
It's been two days since she stayed at her friend's house. Those days went surprisingly well. She didn't have much concerns because she momentarily forgot her worries every time she was with the friend.
It felt good to forget the problems even for a moment, but of course her brother did not disappear from her mind even for a minute.
"Are you going to be late later?" Yacchi asked as they exited the building.
"Perhaps, a lot needs to be taken care of at work right now."
"That seems to be the case, you're staying awake until late these days... but don't strain yourself too much."
She saw the concern in her friend's eyes so she let out a reassuring smile. "Of course, thanks for the concern."
That's what she said, though she couldn't afford to promise that because of the situation she was facing right now. There are so many things she must prepare for to even be aware that she stays awake late at night.
