My name is Andrea Perez and I'm fifteen years old. I was born in Tampa, Florida. I'm about to tell you a life changing story that happened to me three years ago. I was a normal kid like the rest. I was older than the kids in my grade, I was in Middle school I was thirteen in the 6th grade. I was never good at school. My parents were from Guatemala they had it pretty tough back there. Until we came here to the United States when I was just 6 years old. Like I said I wasn't good at school, I was held back in first grade because of my language barrier. I had a hard time understating things even when they told me in Spanish, so I had no choice but to repeat first grade. As I got older, I always thought of myself as dumb, and I hated myself for it.
