the light of the day was bright
when I met you and thought it was right
to accept you and look into those eyes
only to be left mesmerized
with a battle I knew I couldn't fight.
you were a knight in my sleep
you made a promise you couldn't keep
a promise filled with lies
to break all our sacred ties.
the thought of you is a question why
a nightmare in the shadows lurking near by
to capture me into your lying arms
pretend to be a flame to keep me warm.
i know what you did
i know that you want to get rid
of this thing in my finger called a ring
just to be happy with your little fling.
the vows were wrong
and all those wedding songs
all you did was break my heart
till death do us apart.
