▪︎at Andrea's estate
(A few days later)
A small knock on the wooden frail door was just enough to wake up the guest that took virtue at Andrea's house
The door slowly opens to reveal a young brunette, she has hazel eyes, a strong jawline, and the attitude that seems like she wants to slap the shit out of you.
"Hello?" The girl asked whilst wiping her eyes
"Hi, I'm looking for Andrea?"
"Who are you?"
"I'm Josie-"
"Oh I know you, your Andrea's friend, I'm Katlyn"
"Hmm?"
"Andrea doesn't have a lot of friends, so don't take her for granted."
"Oh ok, Is Andrea here?"
"Yeah, just follow me" she motions toward the inside of the house and they both head in
When they reach the main bedroom they see a girl passed out on a chair by the corner of the room
"I'll just come back later" Josie whispers with a gentle smile
▪︎Josie leaves and comes back five hours later
This time Andrea is in the living room reading a book called 'The Poison Tree' and has a wine glass filled with blood on the table.
"She's back" Katlyn states to gather Andrea's attention
"Hi"
"Hello luv, how was your morning?"
"Great, I do have news though"
"Hmm?"
"Happy Birthday!" Josie yells proud while she does 'jazz hands'
"Thank you, Josie" Andrea calmly states while a small smile
"You don't seem happy" Josie questioned
"She doesn't celebrate her birthday" Katlyn states calmly
"You what?! First of all you have to, it's one of the days in the year where you can happily celebrate your day of birth and all the collaborations-"
"She sure is a talkative one Drey" Katlyn states while she sits up with amusement
"Josie, luv, as much as I do appreciate your efforts on trying to brighten the mood, I just don't celebrate my birthday"
"Hope does" Josie exclaims
"Yeah well I'm not Hope, never was and never will be, alright? So let's just drop the subject" Andrea states while picking up her book to read it
Josie rushes to Andrea "and were bringing back up the subject" she says while she grabs the book from Andrea's hands
Andrea vamps over to Josie, they were face to face, silence filled the room, it was like a moment where you didn't know what to do, close to one of the moments were you have a special profound experience of passion between two lost souls
Andrea reaches out her hand toward Josie "book! now, if I don't want to celebrate my birthday then it's my choice, not yours, so stop making it your decision"
"Ok, fine" Josie reluctantly hands the book back over "but you are missing out on the day that involves true happiness"
Josie leaves the room with a disappointed look on her face and Andrea was too stunned to even reply or move, she just stood there.
"Drey? You alright?" Katlyn asks walking up from behind
"I. Don't. Know." Andrea states with a surprised tone
▪︎at the Salvatore boarding school
the moments of peace of a drewy dream soon got interrupted by the sound of song
[Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you...]
Hope sleeplessly awoke to lizzie, mg, Jen, Alaric, wade and Josie with a horribly looking hot fudge cake
The cake looked awful, from the smudged chocolate icing to the horribly drawn letters that were the color green
But Hope loved it, she didn't care what it looked like, she felt at home, being surrounded by the people who care for her and more.
"Thanks guys" Hope says
"Make a wish" wade impatiently said
"Okay, okay" Hope repeats in surrender as she leans over to blow out the candles
A few hours later in josie's dorm a note appears in a ball of flames, the flame goes desendegrates to show an envelope.
Josie picks up the note to the written letters with her name on it, she opens it up to see,
"Dear Josie, you have brought to my attention that I don't celebrate the small things, even if it is just a flimsy birthday party. So I abandoned my wishes and is throwing a small party, you may invite one guest to come with you, and you may enjoy the servings; movies; dances; and desserts. May you save me the last dance. Sincerely yours, Andrea"
"Albert Einstein had a goose" Josie stated fastly in shock
From outside of her room Josie hears "Josie! Come down, were about to play 'pin the fangs on the Dracula'" mg yelled from downstairs
Josie went downstairs to the party and pulled hope off to the side
"What josie?" Hope states happily
"I need to leave" Josie said fastly in one breath
"Wait why?" Hope stops listening to the blaring tunes
"I need to go to a friend's, please"
"Jo, alright ok, be safe though and come back before midnight"
"Ok, thank you hope" Josie thanks as she rushes out the room
▪︎a few moments later at Andrea's house
"I'm here- woahhhhhh" Josie starts to slow down as she sees the decor.
"Hello luv"
Josie turns around fastly to a woman who is wearing a blue silky dress, it was Andrea, she had her hair into a braided bun with small curls off the sides.
"Woahhhhhh"
I know the house doesn't look that sparkly; pretty; or dare I say pink"
"That's not what I'm 'woahhhhing' over, that dress looks amazing on you"
"Your not so bad yourself" Andrea said with a soft chuckle "I'm assuming you have a curfew"
"Whaaaaaat, noooooo, never"
"Mmhm, your a terrible liar you know that"
"Ok. I have to get back before midnight"
"Ooh ms. Cinderella, on the ends of virtue, quite the storyline don't you think?" Andrea states with a laughing smile
Her smile quickly fades as soon as she sees the look of distraught on Josie's face
"Ok fine, you have to get back before twelve, got it, now can you please just enjoy the party"
"Looks like you should be using your own advice" Josie remarks
