"Coming."
I get in the car, and my mom looks at my hand.
"Oh, sweetie! Your hand is all cut up from the rose!"
"It's fine. I don't feel it anyway."
She frowns at me.
"I'm serious, Salem. It isn't good for you."
"Just leave it alone."
"..."
"..."
The rest of the car ride was silent, and I enjoyed it.
When I stepped out of the car, my phone stared to ring.
"Turn it off Salem."
"Sorry."
before I turn the phone off, I look at the caller.

Incoming call from,
   Taylor :P

I press decline and turn the phone off.
"Salem, let's go."
"Coming, mom."
I follow my mom to a room with a bunch of people that are unfamiliar to me, but they all crowd around me.

"Aww, look at how much she's grown up!!"
"Such a cutie pie, honestly!"
"Jacqueline, you birthed such a beautiful little girl!"

My mother smiles at all of the compliments i'm getting.

"Well, yes, she is definitely grown up now."
"How old is she?"
"She'll be turning 15 soon."
"Such a cutie."
"Very cute!!"

My mother calms everyone down.

"Oh, yes. Salem is turning into my little edgy teen. I wish she would stay 3!"

Everyone laughed.

At you. They're laughing at you.
No. They're not. They're just extended family members laughing at my mothers snarky remark.
Laughing. At you. At your ugly mess!!
Piss off.

"So, Salem. How are you?" A woman with bleach blonde hair smiles and pinches my cheek.
"Fine, Ma'am. And yourself?"
"Such a fine lady! Already using manners, are we?"
My mom smiled once more.
"Jacqueline, you've raised such a refined lady!!" The blonde woman says.

"I'd certainly say so. I think it's best we'd go." My mom says, grabbing my scratched up hand.
My mother stares into my eyes.
"Stop being antisocial!!"
"I'm not, I just don't know those people."
"They're your great aunt and great uncle. Your 2nd cousins were also in there, too."
"Okay, and? I still don't know them. Why'd we have to come here?"
"It's for you-know-who, Salem."
"Mom! Just tell me!"
"I-"

"Jacqueline! How are you, my dear?"
"Ah, mom. Hello."
"And I see you brought little Salem, too! Hello, Salem."
"Hi grandma..."
"How are you, sweetie!"
"Fine, grandma."
"Good!! And Jacqueline, how are you my dear? I heard that you and Ryan are doing great with little old Salem."
"Yeah, thanks mom. I think we'd better get going now, I don't want to miss out on Kayden's little wedding party."
"Yes! Yes, let's go. Let's all go."

I roll my eyes.
Take the hint, grandma.

You know, you're such a bad grandchild.
I'm not.
You are!
Be quiet, I'm trying to listen.
Shut up. You're nothing to me.

We sit down, and my uncle Kayden walks out.

"Good afternoon, lady's and gentlemen! Thank you for coming to mine and Laura's wedding, I'm so glad all of you could make it! As you know, in the card I sent all of you, I asked you to not wear black. And, I'm sure you're wondering why, are you not?"

Everyone cheered him on.

"Well, it's because-"

I need to tell you something!
No, not now.
Yes!!! Now!!
I don't want to miss this.
Well neither do I, but it's important.
what could be so important?
your uncle Kayden,
what about him?
He hates you.
No he doesn't.
Yes, he does.
Go away.

"Anyways, I'd like to thank my siblings, Jacqueline and Nathan, for driving all the way from Arizona to get here!!"
Everyone clapped for my mother and my other uncle.
"Now, I think Laura would like to give her speech."
My aunt came on the stage.
"Hello! I'd also like to thank Kayden's siblings, because they're the siblings I never had. Hi, Jacqueline and Nathan!!" My aunt waved to the two of them.
"So, I'd also like to thank my mom and dad for coming out, even though they still think that Kayden's a total jerk. Hi, mom!" Laura waved to her parents who were laughing.

Your aunt also hates you. Everyone here thinks you're a loser.
God, could you just go away for today? I'm trying to enjoy my time at this wedding.

"Well, I think we can all agree to dig into our meals!" Laura said, and everyone clapped.

I sat down at the "special" table, which whom consisted of
Me,
Mom,
Nathan,
Grandma,
Grandpa,
Laura,
Kayden,
My cousin,
My 2nd cousin,
Laura's mom,
and Laura's dad.

"Salem! It's so good to see you again!" Laura said, hugging me.
"Thanks. Congratulations, by the way." I said, smiling.
"Oh, thanks! When you get married, I better be at the special table."
"You will be." I smiled again.

"Salem!!" My uncles yelled at the same time.
"Hi, Uncle Kayden, Hey Uncle Nathan."
"How are you?" Nathan asked.
"Good, and yourself?" I responded.
"We're doing just fine. We wanted to catch up with you! How are your parents doing?" Kayden asked.
"I believe they're doing just fine, thanks. Congratulations, Kayden."
"Oh, thanks Salem. What did you choose to eat?" He asked.

"Steak. You?"
"Steak." He replied.
"I also chose steak." Nathan added.
We all smiled, and put our fists together.
"Glad you're finally married, Kayden. Now we just have to wait for Salem." Nathan said.
"No way! She's never getting married. We will both make sure of that, won't we?" Kayden said, staring at him.
They both laughed after.

Yep, I'm sure of it.
They're definitely both brothers.
