Her name repeatedly whispered in her ear, she swallowed a smile while keeping her eyes shut, pretending she was still asleep. Moments later, a pillow smacking her on the head caused her to break out in laughter, eyes popping open. Turning onto her back, she grinned when the blonde straddled her. "What do you want, woman?" She glanced toward the bedside clock. "It's 12:06 in the morning."

"I know. I was waiting for midnight." Sitting atop her, her partner bounced up and down. "Happy birthday, Joey!"

"Thank you, Donna. Now let's go back to sleep." A pair of dark brows wiggled. "Or engage in a little hanky panky."

Donna chuckled and lowered to kiss that kissable mouth. "It's your birthday. We can do anything you'd like for the next twenty-four hours. However, before the hanky panky followed by more sleep, I have something to show you." Jumping out of the bed, she grabbed her girlfriend's hand and began to tug, ignoring a low groan. "Come on, Joey. Come open your present."

Light blue eyes swept over the petite woman dressed in a pair of pants pajamas. "I would love to, but she just left the bed."

Chuckling again, Donna crooked a finger at her. "Get up. Please," she added, extending the last word a few seconds.

Giving in, Joey followed her out the room once they put on shoes. Walking down to the first floor and arriving at the front door, Donna pulled a cloth from her pocket. When she asked Joey to turn away so she could put it over her eyes, she dutifully complied, bending her knees to make it easier for the woman she had a few inches on.

Carefully guided outside, the early morning air bringing with it a cool breeze, they stopped at the sidewalk. Blindfold removed, Joey blinked and focused on the brand new black motorcycle, a large red bow tied around its handlebars. Mouth forming the shape of an O, she walked around the motorcycle while Donna grinned.

"Baby...this is too much!" Despite those words she straddled the bike's seat, hands wrapping around the bars.

Walking up to her, Donna kissed her cheek. "Nothing is too much for my, Joey Bear. Why don't you take it for a test drive?"

"Probably shouldn't. It's late. I'll wake up the neighborhood." Despite those words she quickly accepted the helmet and key presented to her. "Well, maybe just to the end of the block. You wanna come with?"

Donna shook her head. "You know I only care to ride you." Grinning, she took a couple steps backward. "Go on. I'll wait for you." After Joey blew her a kiss she watched her travel to the last house on their block before she made a U-turn, pulling up to the curb on the opposite side.

"That bike is boss, baby! Thank you!" Shutting her new transportation off and removing the helmet, she met Donna toward the middle of the street where she picked her up and twirled her around while the blonde giggled. Placed back on her feet their lips met. "Still think you spent too much."

Donna smiled, rubbing the nape of her girlfriend's neck. "Hey, you only turn one--"

"Hush. I'm too old for numbers."

She grinned. "You don't look a day over forty."

"Ha ha. That's so funny."

Wanting to park her gift in the garage, which was already open, Donna waited on the curb while Joey chose to walk the motorcycle across the street instead of riding it. She was halfway there when a car screeched around the corner and came barreling toward her. Before she could move out of the swiftly approaching vehicle's way, Donna raced toward her, palms slamming against her chest effectively pushing her backward.
