I open my eyes to see Jasmine sitting in chair playing with her phone “Hey” I say roughly
Her head snaps up and her eyes meet mine “Hey sleepy head”
“How long have you been here?”
“About a hour”
“You don't have to keep visiting me”
She smiles “But I want to”
The door swings up and Nicki walks through “Your business is--” she stops once she seems Jasmine “What's that hoe doing here?”
“It's none of your business” Jasmine says
“Bitch, I'm the one who's still married to him” she says flashing her ring
“I want my ring back”
Nicki's attention is back on me as soon as those words leave my mouth “Your ring?” she asks
“Yeah, it's mine I bought”
She shakes her head the long blonde hair on her head not moving a bit “You bought but you gave to me so it's mine” she says
“Babe, you need to go to divorce court” Jasmine says touching my hand
“A'int nobody asked for you opinion hoe”
Jasmine stands up “Your just mad because he's upgrade”
Nicki laughs “Bitch you'll always been second to me”
“Naw, bitch I'll be third behind you while you'll be second to Asiah”
“Jasmine!” I say
She turns around “I'm sorry babe” as soon as she turn back around Nicki's hand is flying across her face “Bitch stay in your lane...and I'll see your lame ass in court” then she's gone
I press the nurse button beckoning someone to come check on Jasmine. I already know this divorce is going to be long and hard just like our marriage.
**Asiah’s POV**
Everything around here is awkward so many unspoken words with today being Monday we just try to act like it's a another normal day me going to work while Elijah and Alexis head off to school. Rashaun hasn't been out of his room since I told him about my abortion and honestly I don't know why he's so upset it's not like he was even involved.
“Are you taking Alexis to school?” Elijah asks me ask
“I thought you were” I say
“Babe I can't I'll be late”
“Go, I'll take her”
“Thanks, your amazing, love you” he pecks my lips
“love you too have a good day”
He kisses Alexis' forehead “be good love you baby”
“love you daddy” she say as she scoops bits and pieces of lucky charms into her mouth
Mama comes into the kitchen “Who am I going to go shopping with now that my shopping buddy has to go back to school?” she asks looking at the five year old
“Sorry grammy but I have to go”
“Put on your shoes and grab your backpack” I tell her
“Okay mommy” Alexis says leaving the kitchen
“So what are you going to be doing today?” I ask my mom
“I'm going to see some houses”
“Mama” I warn “don't be getting a big ol' house you don't need”
