Chapter 20: H-hello

I could see flashes of light whip passed my vision. I laid there watching the lights.

I hear a voice and rustling sounds.

"Wake up" a voice shouted at me.
I snapped open my eyes and was surrounded by people.

I jumped off the table and looked around.

Who the fuck are all these people

I backed away from them.

"Hey Bree? Calm down it's just me" the man said

I shot my glance at him. He smelled amazing. Almost mouthwatering.

MATE a low growl echoed through my head

He reached for me.

I growled at him. Both him and the girl looked shocked

"Bree its me Alcide, your mate. Calm down your safe. We're not going to hurt you. Do you know who I am"

I let a lowly growl escape my lips.

"Hey it's ok everyone here is just worried about you. You were in an accident. We just need to make sure your okay baby. Come on take my hand"

MATE the low growl echoed through my head again.

I slowly reached for his hand. As soon as we made contact a bright spark shot through me.

"Grab her she's seizing"

Strong arms wrapped around me.

Flashes of pictures ran through my head. It was excruciating. I could see their faces in the pictures. It was like my entire life flashed before my eyes.

I blinked a couple of times and the everything became still.

"Wait I think she stopped" the man's voice said.

The arms slowly released me.

I blinked a few more times. Amelia was standing in front on me. Behind her was Luke and Beth followed by King Michael. The arms turned me around to face them.

Alcide

I threw my arms around him.

"Shh it's ok. I got you. Your okay. Your okay" he soothed as he stroked my hair.

He pulled away from the embrace and looked at me.

"I was so worried about you. How are you feeling" he asked

I felt okay. But I felt...different. Something was different

Beth made her way to me.

"Hey hun, I need you to do me a favor ok and it may sound silly but it's important okay" she said sweetly

I nodded.

"I need you to try to speak" she stated

Speak? What's going on?

"We all heard your growl and now we need to test this okay"

I looked to Alcide who looked as concerned as ever.

"H-hell.o" my voice cracked.

I shot my glance to Alcide and then to Amelia who both looked stunned.

I cleared my throat

"Hello" I said again a little bit clear but still croaky

Holy shit I have a voice. I HAVE A VOICE

Amelia threw her arms around me. She was balling crying . I was balling crying.

"You can speak" she sobbed.
