i was too busy staring at abigail to answer
"evalyn, do you have your car?"
"my car..?"
"did you bring it to the school before the trip?"
"oh. no, i didn't."
she glanced towards the parking lot
"perfect, we can take mine."
i followed abigail to her car
i was holding my bags, unsure what to do with them.
i got into the passenger seat, holding them close.
abigail got in beside me, and put hers in the backseat
i followed along
"where do you wanna go?" i asked
"i know this place, its near the park, and it has-"
"sure."
"sure?" she repeated
i suppressed a grin
then i felt something grab my hand
it was abigail's hand
"this is a date right?"
i nodded
"and on dates, you do this." she glanced at our intertwined hands.
i brought our hands into my lap
"and this?" i offered
i didn't miss the way abigails cheeks turned slightly pink
it was adorable.
"and this." she confirmed before driving.
