TO Y/N'S RELIEF, EREN SEEMED to find the new set of notes much easier to learn, and was confidently reciting the facts that he'd memorised by the end of Survey. Everyone in the clubroom seemed to be happy – apparently the others had made great steps in progress with the research on the Titans, and it should be finished by the end of the term.
Receiving her payment from an exceedingly grateful Mikasa, who rushed over to embrace Eren as soon as she had handed off the envelope, Y/N was fighting off a smile as she slung her bag over her shoulder, promising Erwin to do some more work in the report the next day, though he waved off her guilt kindly.
"It's a week of exams," he conceded, gently pushing an armful of books back onto a shelf. "We agreed to this setup, and, besides, our deadlines aren't that strictly set. We can easily run into next term if necessary."
"I see," she replied, making sure to give him a wide grin. "Well, thanks – good luck with your exams tomorrow!"
"The same to you," he returned, waving as she turned to leave. "See you tomorrow."
"Ah, Y/N!" Hange called out, stopping the other student in her tracks just before she reached the doorway. "You and Levi be careful on the way home – I heard the buses have been delayed today, so I hope you stay safe!"
