The Quidditch Tryouts

Hermione's POV:

I am sitting by the window. "Reading Hogwarts: A History" the twentieth time....This week. I just don't find anything amusing anymore. Ever since me and Ron broke up, things just haven't been the same. I've been trying to find someone new- I've been trying to, well, move on but I just can't. Every single time- Ron's affectionate smile attracts me towards him but I need to leave him be. After all- He looks much happier with Luna. Oh- Harry's here

"Hello 'mione! What are you up to?"

"Not much, just reading" I replied.

"Oh of course you are, Anyways there's quidditch tryouts today. You'll come right? My first year as captain!" He said with a wide smile on his face

"I WILL Harry, I said hitting him softly on the head with the piece of parchment beside me"

"Ow, See you then!"

"Bye!" I left the room

I got ready and reached the quidditch grounds...I took a place amongst the seat. Luna was there to cheer Ron. Harry seems to be taking some SPECIAL interest in Ginny, makes me a bit jealous to be honest- WAIT- NO IT DOESN'T- WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT?! Anyways- The tryouts had started. I don't know much about quidditch but I could tell the first few people did pretty well considering the fact that they were from previous year's team but when it came to Ron's turn. Miserable, absolutely miserable. So miserable in fact that I had to use a confundus charm on Mclaggen to get him through! I HAD to- I just couldn't bear seeing him fail. He caught my attention during the selections though. Cormac I think it was, his name. He looked kind of cute honestly. Brilliant at quidditch as well- Saw him catching a fly with his bare fingers! So charming! BUT- NO- I HAVEN'T MOVED ON FROM RONALD YET- I WAS JUST- UM- WELL- ADMIRING HIM- YES- ADMIRING HIM- 

The trials ended- Ron got to be the keeper but I felt really bad for Cormac. I was just having dinner when I saw Harry coming in. We had a small talk and I couldn't keep it in so I told him everything. Oh what an Idiot I am! He urged me to go apologize to Cormac or else he'll remove Ron from the team. So I went to the common room. He was the only one there- Reading quidditch through the ages *how brilliant*. I went over to him. He was sitting on a nice red armchair and was wearing a very very hot sweatshirt. 

"Hello, Cormac"

"Hey, Hermione right?"

"Yes" I blushed *HE KNOWS MY NAME!!!!"

"Any special purposes for this visit?" Gosh he's such a gentleman

"I- I just wanted to- I just wanted to apologize" 

"What for Hermione" He- he said my name again! *WOW*

"I just- I- it was me who used that confundus charm on you" I said with great hesitation

"Hermione I- Would you like to sit down and talk?" 

"YES OF COURSE!" I think I said that too loud because I think I heard a couple sleepy groans from upstairs

We talked about what happened for around five minutes when he held my hand- The grasp was neither too tight nor too lose- It was- Just right. I smiled at the ground. 

"Won't you complain? Hermione Granger. Someone you've never talked to before just held your hand at a very awkward moment, I know you like me and you know what? I like you too-"

And just like that we fell into a kiss- It was filled with love. The best two seconds ever of my entire life...

"And I didn't even realize when it happened- I just- I didn't mean to- it just-"

And he tapped my lips with his finger. And smiled gently. We both then went to our separate dormitories.

Harry's POV
