The rising sun weighs heavily upon my heart,

because I know that you are gazing upon it too.

Miles away, centuries apart,

yet still connected and tethered to my heart.

And it pulls that string,

it pulls me towards you.

Tugging on my will and defenses,

breaking me down, pulling me through.

Consuming my being,

and emptying my mind and body all at once.

Until I am nothing but skin and bones

and a spark of love for you.

But who you are? Stranger in my dreams?

It seems that we only meet under the absence of moonlight,

when the stars shine bright,

filling the sky with light.

And all that exists in this world is your face,

and I always chase these dreamscapes.

Hoping for a touch in your supple lips,

and a warm embrace from your flawless skin.

But I always missed those moments,

because the night turns to day.

How I wish to stay in these dreams forever

and never wake from this unattainable bliss.
