it was hard
no texts
not even three days later
she says how this was a mistake
how her heart yearns
for his words
he didnt respond
for close to a week
almost ignoring her words
as if she didnt exist
so she shut up
just as she should have
and he responded
right away
she learned that
this was the best way
to keep him close
and to make him want to stay
