Enzo's pov

I'm getting ready to meet up with Zara, and I can't help but feel nervous and excited at the thought of seeing her again

I have asked Maria to watch after Mia while I'm at dinner

If today goes good then I'll tell Mia that I went out with Zara for her to be Her nanny for a little bit

I have arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes earlier just to make sure the roof looks perfect, the woman at the front desk was quite annoying and persistent for me to take her phone number but I'm not interested

I sit and wait until I get a call from Zara, at first I get nervous cus I think that she's canceling on me but she tells me the annoying woman at the front desk won't let her pass...

I walk over to where she's standing and it feels like the air has been sucked out of the room, Zara looks breathtakingly beautiful

I quickly go over to the front desk and tell the front desk woman that she's no longer an employee there and she can take her shit and leave

And then I walk over to the beauty Waiting for me

"Hi you look beautiful," I tell her, and to see the tint of pink rising on her cheeks gosh she's so perfect

"Hi thank you, you look nice as well" she smiles at me, God her smiles perfect

I would do anything to be the reason for that smile to be on her face all the time

I offer my hand to her, she takes it and it fits perfectly in my hand, I walk her over to the elevators

"Aren't we going to sit in the restaurant?" she asks looking confused

As if I would want to sit over there with this beauty watching as other men drool over her, silly girl

"There's a private roof on the top that we're gonna go up to instead, "I say

"Okay that sounds nice" she's smiling up at me, damn that smile

We get off the elevator and I just stare at Zara as she takes in the rooftop, her eyes are doing the same thing as Mia's when she sees chocolate...glad she likes the roof, I've never taken anyone up here

She doesn't know this but the rooftop is an exclusive couples area for my restaurant

"Wow it's breathtaking up here," she says, I wanted to say she was the one who was the breathtaking one up here but refrained

"Thanks glad you like it, " I say, I can't help but notice the confusion on her face, I guess she's not aware of who I am

" This is my restaurant, I designed the whole thing, " I say

"Wait...you own this restaurant! It's like the most expensive one in New York" she says with an adorably shocking expression on her face

Ya I own a handful of restaurants, hotels, buildings, and whatnot it's just my business" I say shrugging, I wanted to just spit out ' AND I AM IN THE DAMN MAFIA RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN' but I'm being selfish, I know I'll regret it I don't want to put her in danger but I just can't help but want her

We are sitting in silence after ordering and I decide to break the silence by saying " so I wanted to ask you here so we could talk about Mia, and the nanny situation " and I also wanted to just see your beautiful smile, and hear your voice...but I didn't tell her that part

"Oh speaking of Mia where is she? With your girlfriend or something? She asks, wait she thinks I have a girlfriend? Guess she doesn't know that I'm a high businessman and how the tabloids put it 'the hottest single bachelor out there

Huh this is perfect I can slip in a question to make sure she's single

I chuckle before saying " no I am not in a relationship and she's at home with my cook while we're here, what about you would your boyfriend like you to be out to dinner with me?" I think that was pretty smooth on my part

She laughs and says " no I'm not in a relationship either" THANK God! This is perfect...that is if she's even interested

I think I need to slip that I'm interested in her to see how she reacts, but I need to do it very lightly

"Sorry for assuming, I just thought a pretty girl like you would already have someone" I couldn't help but call her pretty because all I can focus on tonight is how breathtaking she is, whether it's covered in flour and an apron or a beautiful dress black dress, she looks perfect both ways

"Ya I haven't been in a relationship ever actually, guys are just not interested in me" she shrugs while laughing lightly, but I didn't miss the hint of sadness in her eyes as she was thinking

I wanted to scream out that I am interested but refrained from that

How in the hell has this girl not been in a relationship she's PERFECT, everything from her smile, laugh, the way she handled Mia even though she only knew her for around 3 hours, she's just amazing

"I would've thought you would have guys all around you asking for dates, guess I got lucky" well there it was I said it what I thought this was to me

I didn't miss that almost sparkle in her eyes she has like she did when she saw the rooftop ...so she is interested?!

She smiles before saying " what about you, you probably have women throwing themselves at you" yeah they might but you are the only one I wanna get to know, but again I kept that to myself

Instead, I told her the other truth " maybe but I don't want to bring anyone near my daughter who I don't think is worth it" and I think Zara is worth it

We just stare at each other for a bit, and I can stare at those beautiful blue eyes all day, I get out of my daze and clear my throat

And we talk about the whole nanny situation for a while before we get up to leave

I want her to be the permanent nanny for Mia but I know she has her bakery and I don't want to attach her to us before making sure she even wants this, I mean I'm in the damn mafia and that's not something to take lightly around new people in your life

I walk her towards her car, she turns to me and says "I had a fun time thank you for dinner, and I'm excited to watch Mia" she smiles up at me

"I did too, we should do it again sometime" I return her smile

"Ya that sounds good" she smiles

Then she walks closer to me until she catches me off guard by pulling me into a hug, I am in shock for a minute before I return the hug, it's like she was made for me, I pull away just a little and kiss her forehead I just couldn't help it

"Text me when you get home so I know you made it safe," I tell her

I can tell she's a bit shocked about the kiss because she just smiles and nods, and I couldn't help but chuckle at that she's just too cute

We say a final goodbye and I head home

While I'm explaining to Mia that Zara is gonna be her nanny for a little bit I get a notification

Zara: I made it home safe

I text her goodnight and that I had a great time cus I did

Mia turns to me and says " daddy why are you smiling at your phone"

"Nothing sweetheart," I said...I didn't even realize I was smiling

"So sweetie what do you think about Zara being your nanny for now?" I ask

" YESSS I LOVE PRINCESS ZARA! Can we please see her tomorrow at the cafe and get some cake" she smiles up at me while jumping up and down from the excitement

"Sure hun let's get ready for bed" and of course I agree cus it's just another excuse to see her again
