After everyone got settled in Rowan started to build a fire for all of us, though the whole night was so tense. Christopher was so up my ass when Rowan was away and Eveline would get jealous and nit pick here and there over small things. For the most part Ember and Lilliana were busy actually enjoying themselves and trying to help out. I sat down on one of the chairs Rowan had set up, my eyes followed him around as he threw some wood into the fire. Anything he did really my eyes would follow him. Anything he did since he was so strong looked so simple, so easy even. I think he noticed my staring since after a bit he came over pulling a chair close,"The fire is almost done if you're that cold and bored dork." He says. I look over at him,"I'm not all that cold but seriously I know I've asked this but how did you go from being so tiny even when I came back here to being so buff and independent?" He chuckles, "Well I didn't think you noticed but I've been working out for a few weeks now almost a month all I did was change a few different things in my workout routine." I just simply blink at him, though workout talk aside I can feel the heat radiating off of him and shiver finally being aware of the weather. "H-holy shit it's c-cold." He chuckles again, "Do you want a blanket or two or would you rather go in the tent so it's less weird if I hold you out here so you could get warm?' I snort at his response. "You know when you say it like that it sounds so weird." We both just laugh. He got up to finish the tent and the fire and by the time he was done he took me into the tent and layed down onto the air mattress he had and then opened hi/s arms expecting me to lay on his chest. "Erm Rowan? Baby steps okay?" He chuckles rolling his eyes, I hesitantly laid down next to him facing away from him. "Am I allowed to put an arm around you or are you just going to be weird about it?" I grumble and scoot a little back, "here." He wrapped an arm loosely around my waist as he covered me with a blanket as well. He was so warm. It was like having your dog lay in the same bed as you but instead of a dog laying on my feet I have a teenage guy spooning me in an air mattress in the middle of the woods so, I guess I can cross that off my bucket list. I felt so safe in his arms I could stay like this for hours and I wouldn't even complain, not even in the slightest. After a while he shifts around then getting up he was almost successful until I pulled him back down on the bed. "You lil heater, how freaking dare you try to leave me. He chuckles as I cuddle into his chest. I could've sworn his heartbeat kicked up, was I making him nervous? I don't know how I mean we are just laying down with each other, cuddling I think. "Athena I have to go to the bathroom and you have to go enjoy the fire that I built, maybe make s'mores or something like that." He says. I groan and pull away then crawl out of the tent and walk over to the group and sit down on the log that was close to the fire. The girls were by their tents talking about some drama outside of school so things that weren't any of my business. Suddenly a hand curls around my side as I look over to see who was there and of course it was Christopher. "What is Rowan to you and don't waste your breath lying to me." I stare at him completely oblivious to what he was getting at. "Athena are you two..dating?" I couldn't help but laugh at him. "God! It's non of your business chis. And even if we were dating the last person I would've told wouldn't have been you." He huffs. "Why not! I bet you if you had a chance to go on one date with me you'd-" Before he could even finish his sentence I punched him as hard as I could in his jaw, which caused him to fall backwards. He winced out in pain and I just kicked his side once for good measure before walking off all pissed off. I made my way through the woods getting further away from the camp. Once I felt I was far enough I leaned back against a tree taking breaths and relaxing a bit. I try focusing on the background noises since that seems to calm me down, I close my eyes taking in the sounds and smells around me. I heard an owl not too far from where I am and the sound of a million tiny crickets singing their sweet melody. Of course there was an orchestra of tiny bugs though the crickets stood out more being the most confident with their voices. Suddenly I heard quiet footsteps not too close but not too far away either, the leaves that were spread across the dirt were crunching underneath their feet with a twig snap here and there. I couldn't seem to remember whose footsteps they were besides they were from a worn out sneaker. Just as I was about to open my eyes to confront whoever followed me there were hands on my wrist and a body against mine shoving my body back against the tree and lips pressed firmly against mine. My whole body froze, I couldn't breath and my limbs weren't moving. Their hands start to wander all along my body feeling every inch they possibly could. God this can't be happening not here and not in the woods, I tried everything I could to break from the "kiss" finallying getting my libs working. I bit down on their tongue and bottom lip until I could taste an awful metal in my mouth and I tried to run off once I'm freed. BUt he manages to yank me back by my hair and hold me back by my neck facing away from him. There was a huge whoosh of wind passing through then a strong yank on the 'person' behind me. I turned around and to my surprise Luther was there and so was christopher. Luther had Christopher in a choke hold ready to kill, whilst Christopher's pathetic self couldn't even fight back he was getting the shit kicked out of him. "Athena go I'll handle this disgusting low life and turn him into your father." Luther says. Without hesitation I bolted off as fast as I possibly could back to the camp gasping for air. They tried to touch me like a simple hug or pat on my back or shoulder and I screamed not wanting anymore to touch me let alone look at me. "O-okay okay Athena why don't you go sit down by the fire and relax. Wait, where's chris?" Lillian says. My whole body begins to tremble and ache. "That disgusting asshole is in the woods. I think he is going back to t-town. My voice was so shaky, I hate this and I hate him. I should've never gone on this trip. I just want to go home and scrub every inch of my body and mouth as hard as I can. Roman begins to speak, "Athena, did he hurt you?" In response I just looked away, I guess he took that as a yes as he just ran off into the woods fuming in anger. "Oh Athena..come on let's go sit down you don't have to talk about it but please? It looks like you're about to fall over as much as you're shaking." Ember says. I agree and she calms me down after a while and I explain to her what happened and the look on her face just made me want to start crying again. "Oh Athena I'm so sorry.. none of us knew he'd be like that. Can I hug you?" I hesitantly nod in response and she pulls me in a gentle hug, I just nuzzled into her since she was warm. After Rowan came back everyone had gone to bed for that night though I couldn't stay asleep for long periods of time though every in between moment Rowan was there to comfort and reassure me. There's just a few things that are on my mind right now that don't include christopher. Like how did Luther know I was there in the middle of the woods? Why did he protect me and save me even. And how did he get there so fast? I didn't even hear him coming.
