anYWAYS- point is, im gonna rewrite everything because i threw cannon lore out a window and drove over it with a truck. twice.

and uh. future storyline m i g h t contain angst,, itll have lots of fluff too though so hopefully itll make up for it. or make it more painful

so begins my villain arc (only like. one person will get this joke but who tf cares, im a villain now and thats all you must know) /j

uhm yes so like,, forget everything that happens in the chapters before if you've read them- and if you haven't, ignore em. im keeping them because i want to have the writing style for future reference and stuff but i might unpublish them at some point,, (if you're reading this and they're gone i unpublished them)

so basically here's the current lore (hopefully im not killing cannon lore again- please lmk if i am haha- also damn i use too many parenthesis thingies- )

> Xiao remembers venti from when he saved him, but at the same time he doesnt. he hasnt seen venti since he saved him those 2 - 2.5 eons ago- basically venti saving him became a repressed memory of sorts. kinda,, hidden in the mist of all the other things that happened that night (like the battle that led to his injuries or "karmatic-debt-overload", to call it something)

>Venti doesnt know that he saved Xiao, but he does remember giving him a vision at some point.

>venti spent a length of time in mond since the visit to liyue that led him to unintentionally saving xiao except a few short trips to see zhongli. he didnt see xiao in any of those trips, and xiao didnt see venti either.

>oh yeah also some family dynamics/ship thingies that are "cannon" to this fic will be: 

  -zhongli as a father/caretaker figure for xiao 

  -ganyu as a sort of little sister to xiao, hu tao as a sort of frenemy?? like, they're friends but xiao acts all "#emo #brocken #dont talk to me xd" around hu tao and she pranks him constantly so like

  -yanfei is that one long-lost, twice-removed, moved to brazil and took a world tour around the solar system, then suddenly materialised in a thanksgiving family dinner and vanished again cousin who happens to be dating your second-place best friend that got overthrown for first place when venti appears.

is that overly specific? probably. 

anyways

  -childe is the family wallet but only zhongli likes him. everyone else will drop-kick him the second an opportunity arises. even hu tao, because business stops for no-one.

  -zhongli x osmanthus wine cannon /j /j /j

  -anime plot twist, chili is actually cannon to this fic- in a lowkey not so lowkey way. its lowkey if you're an adrien kinnie, and guess who's an adrien kinnie? mr moneygone himself ofc (zhongli being mr moneygone)

  -the blue boys™ (chongyun and xingqiu) might appear in the bg since i hc that xingqiu and hu tao are friends, and therefore theyll probs appear at some point. and yes they're dating,, xingyun my beloved
