Light After the Storm

The clouds are cold,

The ground is warm,

Life is yet to unfold,

But I see no harm.

Today, there is a wild storm

And tomorrow we see it's destruction,

But this is seen as the norm

     On almost every disasterous occasion.

They say that it just can't get any worse than this

However, I have a warning to take heed

The only way we can achieve bliss

is for us all, we first must bleed.

The clouds are grey with gloom,

The ground is wet with rain,

The next disaster may be our doom

And all who don't suffer will feel our pain.

But, today is a new day

        Tomorrow will bring a surprize,

The course we seek, be it as it may,

Can be prosperous or our great demise.
